New Aluminum Sport Pedals
LOL! I really love the reference to an old throwback classic movie. Your sense of humor, however, does not abdicate you from being a ******-bag.- awake33

LED turn signal how-to (front & rear)
Props to you guys for the explanation; to me that demonstrates a genuine desire to do right by your customers. Thank you, I just might order that rear domelight kit you have.- awake33

LED turn signal how-to (front & rear)
I understand what you are explaining, but I'm still skeptical. I also don't trust a company that arranges before/after pictures in the manner that you have. In your before shots, you have a piece of heavy stock paper blocking the cargo light on the left. You not do not have that light blocked...- awake33

Any news on if Ford will publish a new map card?
Nowhere in his posts do I see the indication that he should willingly take a huge financial hit just to be rid of the vehicle. I may be wrong, but it seems you are missing my point entirely. It's pretty simple, we are talking $$$$$.- awake33

Any news on if Ford will publish a new map card?
A vehicle isn't something most people can just swap out on a whim. Most of us can't afford to take losses like that. Your attitude is unreasonable, and econimcs are likely the reason he still has it. Saying "it can't be that bad" because he still owns it is ridiculous and shortsighted.- awake33

BrightLites, I checked out your dome and maplight solutions. I'm all for capitolism, but those prices are absurd.- awake33

Any news on if Ford will publish a new map card?
I just bought my 2014 less than two months ago and I'm expected to pay for current maps? Let me fix your statement for you as it applies to me: "This applies to anyone that has MyFord Touch and would like current maps for their navigation in their brand new vehicle." Missing parts, body...- awake33

How much gas left after the gauge says 0 miles??
Ok, let me better clarify what I was saying. While the system is using the gas in the tank in a manner equivalent to a large heat-sink, the expected heat dispersion from the designers is less than a couple %, and is merely a bonus and not a main contributor to cooling. The main cooling, and...- awake33

Foglight Bulb Options
After researching led fogs endlessly, and even trying a set that cost $45, I ended up going with a Nokya H11LED Fog light kit. They are not as bright as an HID kit, possible even a smidge dimmer than stock, BUT, they have several qualities that were very important to me: Two year warranty Nice...- awake33

LED turn signal how-to (front & rear)
I'm planning on trying these out for the front signals; most likely the ones with the diffuser: elef LEDs For the rear I used a pair of 50w Osram amber led bulbs with a total of 10 LEDs each. Slightly dot like in appearance but barely noticeable. They are plenty visible in direct bright...- awake33

Driver's mirror wind whistle
My 2014 Limited has the whistle. And while I want it fixed, I want to rear hatch area aligned properly first. Already took it in once and they made worse. The way the various trim parts around the back of my LTD line up, it looks like it was assembled by a blind person.- awake33

Mud Flaps / Splash Guards / DIY Pics
Good point, the hole i drilled was through plastic only, and it was nearly 3/4" closer to the outside of the well. Yes, the interface makes that clear. But it would not function properly for me. I dare say that I'm an IT Guru (read: IT Nerd who happens to work in IT professionally), and...- awake33

Mud Flaps / Splash Guards / DIY Pics
Installed mine yesterday. The rears were a cake walk; the front set was a pain in the arse. Ended up buying some automotive rivets from Lowes for the top of the front set and bottom of the front right flap which eventually broke from pushing on it because the parts you are supposed to reuse are...- awake33

Splash Guards
I'm curious if anyone has put mud flaps forward of the rear wheel well? I'm more concerned with debris getting on the rear door panels when going in reverse than anything that might get onto the hard plastic trim behind the rear wheels.- awake33

2nd Row Bucket Seats - Neep Pics!
I thought I saw it in this forum, but perhaps not. Anyway, you can order the center console separately. It is about $230. Keep in mind that the carpet must be cut out to install it into the mounting holes which are already there. This also means that for those of you thinking about ordering...- awake33

Front Sensors
This is my wife's Explorer. She happens to be 5'1" and has a hard time seeing over the hood while parking. Our 2013 Escape had factory front sensors on them; great in crammed Costco parking lots. They behaved just like the rears, with 3 zones of range and 3 levels of beeping, whereas the...- awake33

Front Sensors
Not sure what monkey at Ford designed that system, but it's useless. Per the description, it turns on for 5 minutes when you start the vehicle and then shuts off. This is the main reason I installed a Lockpick 2 and a front license plate camera.- awake33

New Aluminum Sport Pedals
What he said. Was the first thought in my mind, a slippery brake pedal with wet shoes. If there is some method of overcoming that limitation being included in the design, then count me in as well.- awake33

Running Boards - DeeZee and Others
Yeah, that seems like a fair range. These are close to $400 a set before a discount. I was impressed with the third bracket and additional support on each bracket as opposed to the Dee Zee boards which just hang from two brackets. Time will tell. My 5'1" wife has complained yet, but I think...- awake33

How much gas left after the gauge says 0 miles??
I'm pretty certain that the fuel in the tank is not acting like a giant heat-sink, it cools the pump as it runs through it, just as antifreeze cools as it gets pushed through the system by a water pump (and directed through a radiator to disperse the collected heat). The pump can overheat...- awake33
