    how would I go about finding the od gear ratio for the explorer? hopefully someone will chime in and let me know for sure. was told by someone that it wouldn't work due to the older transmissions not having the same electronics ??? but im unsure and searching up they are all interchangeable need...

    so the transmission is completely shot it is 07 xlt with the 4.0 my question is could I take the trans out of an 04 and use it?

    would a transmission form a 2002 or newer work properly in my 07? as in electronics etc? mine has gone out completely and I can get my hands on one out of a 2004.what is the difference if any? both are 4wd and both have the 4.0 thanks again
