2014 Explorers Sport
We have had our 2014 Explorer Sport since October 2013. This is our fourth Explorer and by far the best of all. Quiet, quick and very comportable vehicle. We tow it with our motorhome and it is very easy to tow. We have 35,000 miles, trouble free. Hankook tires seem to be holding up well...- winzerguy

Battery Tender Use on 2014 Esplorer Sport
The battery tender has to be plugged into a 110v ac connection that would be available when stopped at an RV park. My only concern is using the lighter connection to apply the 12v rather than using a regular battery charger that requires cables hooked to the battery posts. The battery tender...- winzerguy

Battery Tender Use on 2014 Esplorer Sport
I would be at a RV park where there would be a electrical source to plug in the battery tender overnight. I just don't want to use a regular battery charger when you attach cables directly to the battery while on a trip. The battery tender would just plug right into the lighter connection.- winzerguy

Is it acceptable to use a Battery Tender plugged into the 12v cigar lighter connection to keep the battery charged in between uses?
