Passenger Blend door actuator
Had the same problem with my 06. Try turning on the dual control, then turn on the rear A/C. If the driver's side blows colder than it is the weak compressor as Blitzen said.- mijd

2006 Ford Explorer radio replacement options
I just sold my 06 Limited that had the rear entertainment/subwoofer/6 disc CD and navigation. The radio was screen touch and I could control my DVD player from in dash. I now have a 07 EB with subwoofer and I'm looking for navigation as well. I found a seller on eBay with refurbished Nav...- mijd

Bumper Pad
Was able to purchase a brand new bumper pad for my 06 Explorer but can't find the pegs for installation either online or at the local Ford dealership. I'm afraid to just yank or even pry them out thinking this will break them. Does anyone have any suggestion or know how to remove these pegs...- mijd

Which year is the most reliable Explorer?
Sometimes I wonder if the V8s are any more reliable at least for the early and mid 4th generation. In a previous post I wrote that my 4.6L V8 (2006) started ticking about 140k miles. I've watched a ton of Youtube videos on this engine with similar ticking but those problems and fixes all seem...- mijd

Which year is the most reliable Explorer?
I agree the V8 with maintenance records is the only way to go. I bought a 06 with a 4.6L V8 at 101k 4 years ago with 155k presently. Always a FL vehicle (although Carfax swears it was driven to CA for one oil change) I've changed the oil every 3k miles. At 115k with a engine service light on...- mijd
