Multiple suspension noises
That was me....have driven a few 2020 explorer's and Aviator 2WD and no noises ever. Got in another AWD recently....yep, there it was rattling away. As mentioned, if there have been so many suspension replacements without success, may just boil down to splines rattling on the front drive...- Axles of Evil

Solved 2020 FORSCAN Discussion
Hi, does anyone know for sure if the Aviator has this faked engine noise present. If it does, will 727-01-01 Option 9 turn it off? Advice please. Thanks! m- Axles of Evil

Aviator Speed Limit Sign Removal?
Does anyone know how to remove the speed limit signs from the speedometer on the Aviator. I prefer not to have the speed limit displayed in the Speedometer as it is a bit distracting. Cant find a menu option to disable or remove it. Currently I do not have the speed limit recognition enabled in...- Axles of Evil

Multiple suspension noises
Any abnormal noise in a $55K automobile compromises a good sense of value and quality. Such noises should be regulated to a 20 year old Lada 1200 costing no more than 10,000 rubles....that is to be expected. Jus' sayin'.... certainly not for this vehicle.- Axles of Evil

Going from a 2013 to a 2020
If you decide on AWD, make sure it does not have the front end suspension rattle. There are plenty of posts on this forum relating to issues of front end suspension noises while driving. It is very subtle, but once you hear it....you will always here it. There apparently is no known fix at this...- Axles of Evil

Multiple suspension noises
I wonder if anyone has woke up yet at Ford and investigated or even noticed there are buybacks starting to happen with this new release? That noise can be addressed, either with a simple adjustment or a re-designed part. How much fiscal pain needs to happen before somebody gets off their a$$ and...- Axles of Evil

Multiple suspension noises
Again....it is looking like more confirmation of a theory of suspension noises only propagate on the AWD models? There don't seem to be any issues with 2WD units that I have at least heard of. If all these components have been replace (and disturbed) then its obviously someplace else. I remember...- Axles of Evil

Auto Start-Stop Technology
Its not the starter that should be of concern...its the turbos. These turbos are liquid cooled using the engine cooling system in addition they have a supply of oil that feeds the high speed bearings that carry the turbo rotor. When the engine shuts off using SS, there is a rapid heat build up...- Axles of Evil

Some high quality silicone grease specially formulated for these seals, I used the Honda variety on my F150 which started with the silly noises that sounded like the jack was loose behind the rear passenger seat. Could also be the design of having the front drive shafts go through the engine casing on the AWD variety. Its that way to reduce the height of the motor so I have been told...but that is a lot of moving parts contained within a small space that do a lot of triaxial motion. Would be neat to...- Axles of Evil

Update for our 'clunking' Platinum. Body damage
I had a Honda Civic bought new in 1987. At the first traffic light after picking it up....yep...rear ended. I knew at that moment the car was jinxed. Thought I'd share this tidbit regarding dash cams. OK...some updates on our 2020 Explorer Platinum with suspension noises. Well, the latest "story" I got was a problematic front torsion bar bushing.
