Shift to Park Warning
Just got the message. So weird how I went almost 3 days with not seeing it when it was constant before installing a new knob.- lexia889

Shift to Park Warning
I sure will. Drove it this morning and no message. I expect it will happen at least once this week if it isn't fixed.- lexia889

Shift to Park Warning
A little update. When I took the vehicle out for a test run to make sure everything was functioning properly after replacing the knob I got the message when I shut it off. However, I drove it today, shut it off 4 times in the course of the day and did not get the message at all, which is very...- lexia889

Shift to Park Warning
I was under the impression based on my earlier questions and answers that only the knob (shift buttons and main button) needed to be replaced not the entire shifter assembly so I replaced only the knob....- lexia889

Shift to Park Warning
Yes, tapping the button a couple of times gets rid of the message. Happens at least every three times the vehicle is shut off.- lexia889

Shift to Park Warning
Well, I finally got the new knob and wasted no time putting in (took pictures of the process also). The new knob works as it should (shift, manual controls) but I am still getting the shift to park message with the new knob  Guess I'll have to take it to the dealership for diagnosis....- lexia889

Shift to Park Warning
Thanks again! Yes, I sure do get that the button is the issue, but your response about the button makes me need to be crystal clear. I added a link below for the shifter assembly, sadly I haven't figured out how to add embed pictures or it would be way easier. The trigger button is the issue...- lexia889

Shift to Park Warning
Thanks blwnsmoke. I have been reading your posts on this thread and how adamant you are that it is the lever and that has helped me to be adamant to the dealership as well. The car is at 50K, Ford said that I have the premium extended warranty (I forget what they called it) but said it wasn't a...- lexia889

Shift to Park Warning
Same thing happening in my 2013 Ford Explorer Limited. I read through this thread, contacted Crystal, and called the dealership who said it wouldn't be covered under the extended warranty. They also want me to bring it in so they can run diagnostics and they say it isn't going to be a mechanical...- lexia889
