    Gas sensor readin says 50 miles till empty but still have well over 1/4 tank on gauge

    Im doing majority of highway riding and im getting about 20-22 mph. I had one in my 04 F150 and know how it works and what it is supposed to do.     I have a 06 limited v8 and the center screen will tell me I only have 50 miles to empty but the gauge still says i have a 1/4 tank. Because of this i have to keep resetting the screen

    Sensor says low fuel but gauge shows quarter tank

    I did a search and could not find what i was looking for. I have a 2006 Explorer. The Fuel Gauge reads 1/4 tank but the sesor tells me I have less then 50 mile to empty and the warning keeps going off. How do i reset the sensor and align it with the tank gauge?
