    Mark98's 1998 Explorer Sport

Haha, believe it or not, my wife and I both swore we weren't getting another red vehicle. I wanted black, silver, or graphite gray. But this was a steal of a price (since no one can drive a manual anymore) and so I ended up with another red vehicle.....

    Mark98's 1998 Explorer Sport

Still around! Suprising though because I now stick out like a sore thumb. We joke and call it the "Liberty HD" :D

    Mark98's 1998 Explorer Sport

Just realized I never posted a picture of the replacement ride. It grew up a little since I bought it. :D

    $69 performance chip info

If you want a performance programmer, this is the only one I would recommend. My brother has one for his truck and it is a noticeable difference even though it's only rated for 23 hp...

Advice on buying a used 2dr, 5 speed

Nothing wrong with a jeep liberty. I got mine when I sold my explorer. I love the thing! :D

Advice on buying a used 2dr, 5 speed

Hey now.... :D Actually I can agree with that. I sold my explorer sport for a Liberty and my sport had waaaaay more room in the cargo area.

    Rattle from Rear Wheel

Yes only on the back. I forget (been a long time since I did the parking brake on my ex) if the parking brake is one side or both. But I am thinking it is the Passenger rear side since that is the side I worked on.

    Rattle from Rear Wheel

I second this. I just had a very similiar rattle to what you described on my jeep liberty. (About the same as the Ex, parking brake inside the rotor) I pulled off the rotor and the parking brake pads fell out (or what was left of them.) Replaced the pads and no more noise.

    Dang load levelers!

Really? I could move mine easily. They almost seemed like they weren't effective unless they had at least 100 lbs compressing them.

    Mark98's 1998 Explorer Sport

Well, needed a 4 door(children) soooo...... Explorer was sold for $3,500. Replaced it with a 2003 Jeep Liberty with 50,000 miles with a 5 speed! :D Although I will miss ole red :(

    Dang load levelers!

I had them and didn't have any problem compressing them while putting them on.

New coil overs for front and back

I guess I did word it kinda wierd. The jeep does have coils in the front and back though. EDIT: Guess I should say struts in the front.

New coil overs for front and back

Was just joking that I ditched the torsion bars and leaf springs for coils. You can change it if you want, was just trying to have some fun. ;)

New coil overs for front and back

It pains me to say this, but I will be picking up a 2003 Jeep liberty with 50,000 miles and a 5 speed to replace my Ex. The Explorer was a good vehicle, but having a child with a 2 door does not work the greatest. :( The jeep(amazingly the same color scheme as the ex)was way to good of...

How to: Rear Timing Chain Tensioner Replacement

Could you get a link? The only thing I can find is around $50 so I'm hoping I searched for the wrong thing. :(

What tires do you have on your vehicle?

My Ex wears General Grabbers AT2. Awesome tire.

    Rear shocks. Anyone tried/seen these?

They ride a little stiffer but still comfortable enough for everyday driving.

    Rear shocks. Anyone tried/seen these?

Yes, I use them(actually mine are Monroe Sensatrac load levelers, but they look exactly the same). And whoever had my explorer before had them put on too. They work really well, and I don't have that much sag in my rear end and I even have the monoleafs. BTW: Order you shocks at...

I hate emissions - Pumpkin failed on first try

Ha, I used to get an inspection for $17. Now it jumped upwards of $50 due to the "gas cap emissions." Yet, 1 county over from ours doesn't need emissions....

I hate emissions - Pumpkin failed on first try

We have emissions needed every year no matter what age the vehicle is. My 2006 stratus gets tested yearly.. :(

So would recommend getting an HID kit if I plan to stick with the diamond cuts? Or just go with silver star ultras? (Last question I promise!) :D

Worlds smallest HID kit Group Buy!! Christmas Special

Question: (Since you had them in diamond cuts) Is there any dark spots on the road? I have a few darker areas(in the middle) with diamond cuts and silver star bulbs. Was it worth the money? Thanks! :D
