    Second Row center seat stuck

I figured this out a little while back, here's how to do it without breaking anything. There is a bolt that goes through the bottom of the seat, you cant really see it but if you feel around you will catch it. It's in the middle towards the back. Just remove the nut and you have access to the...

    Is My Explorer "Totaled"?

With the value on these things as low as it is, I doubt you will be behind the wheel of that thing ever again.

    Help!!!!!!!!!!!!

Does it stall at all or just shake? Vac line leaks can give you hell at idle and become less noticeable under load.

    Second Row center seat stuck

Not in my home town, and I'd hope they would be doing more important things. The center seat on the second row, as in the seat in the middle, is supposed to flip up towards the front of the truck to show a storage compartment. Not the seat back, but the actual seat, or where you put your...

    Electrical mystery.

I'd have your battery tested for voltage and cca, to make sure you replaced it correctly, and to ensure it is operating at or close to its listed specs. If it is way under then I would start to look into electrical gremlins, and I'd start by pulling fuses to see if you can narrow it down...

Third Party Warranty / Rear Diff

Like 3J said depends on the company and the level of protection. I have always been skeptical of third party warranties, so if it were me I'd e-mail the company explaining the problem, and ask what is and isnt covered under your warranty. That way when they respond, you have a record of it, and...

    wheel bearings

That is an amazing deal, and yes you should do both springs at once. I cant believe you got that bearing done that cheap, they must have gotten parts for dirt cheap or not charged you for labor. Or both. Either way that's a win. Look into after market springs, you should be able to purchase them...

Anyone done the "peanut butter wax"?

I washed and clayed today, wash polishes and wax coming tomorrow, then a solution to the plastics.

    Second Row center seat stuck

A while back the police were going through my truck looking for lord knows what, and they tore the pull strap off the center seat (in the second row) on accident. Worst part is they acted like nothing happened. :censored: Anyways, I can no longer get the bottom part of the seat to fold up...

Rough idle and "Check Engine Soon" light - FIXED

I've heard of using an unlit propane torch to check for vac leaks before as well, I've never tried it myself though. I had a similar elbow leaking on the drivers side, it had a hole the size of a dime in it

Anyone done the "peanut butter wax"?

Sweet! I'm definitely curious, considering the high priced alternatives like mothers back to black out there. In my opinion back to black didn't do much for my last SUV, so I'm hesitant to buy anything for the plastics at this point.

Anyone done the "peanut butter wax"?

Somebody with more guts than me should rub straight peanut oil all over their plastics and let me know if it works the same ;) If I have time after work I'm hoping to wash/clay/polish/wax my truck after work Thursday or Friday, I'm gonna hold off on smearing edibles all over the truck for now...

    adding 12v aux outlets

I'm not sure about the explorers, but in my MM the glove box un-clips and folds down and there's all sorts of room for hiding wiring. I had my stereo out and ran some aux cables there with no problem at all, and nobody will ever see them.

Anyone done the "peanut butter wax"?

How does it hold up to time? Seems like a little bit of weather and it would be back to where you started, and Im not about to rub my truck down with peanut butter twice a week.:D

    My 03 Mercury Mountaineer

Ive had my Mountaineer for almost a year, and have been taking info from this forum for the entire time, so I thought id register and maybe give something back today. Also, I want to make a log of all the BS that has come from this truck because I have probably forgotten half the stuff Ive done...
