I want to flush my Transmision fluid

Back on topic...has the trans been flushed before and how many miles on it. Higher mileage and if you do not know the history of maint. I would just drop the pan, change the filter, re-fill, and go for it.

Nitto Trail Grappler on 2002 Ex XLT

I know the 33s would be too much. I may try it and see how it turns out...worst case scenario I would have to do some trimming. At least as long as it doesn't hit any hard parts.

I want to flush my Transmision fluid

I have heard the same thing about tranny flushes killing transmissions. Usually, the case was that it was never flushed before and as a previous post said, the crap got unlodged and went through the trans. I for one bought mine used and have no idea what was done as for as trans and transfer...

    Tq Converter/Flexplate

Well, I tracked down that rumbling noise I originally thought was the transfer case engaging(dumbass). I noticed it was happening after washing and then in the rain today. Checked my rotors on all four corners, did a couple full brake stops and replicated the rumbling. So, it looks...

Nitto Trail Grappler on 2002 Ex XLT

I was reading a previous post(did not want to hijack) and saw that Nitto has a new tire out. It only comes in a 285/70R16(for the size rim I am looking for and close to the heigth) and if I went to a 17" wheel a 295/70R17 would be to big I am thinking(plus I want to stay at 16 inch wheels)...

    BFG-All Terrain -v- Goodyear Wranglers

Running Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revos on my truck...not sure what the Ex will get after winter. Anyway, as far as all around the Revos do pretty good in all conditions(snow monsters) but definately far from a mud tire. Worth a look though.

    Tq Converter/Flexplate

I haven't been under it yet to check out to make sure there is nothing rattling like the cat covers. It sounds like a classic cat rattle but, I doubt it. Has 80000 on it with no real repairs just maintenance. My dad is Amsoil dealer so I think I am going to get some and change everything...

    Tq Converter/Flexplate

Under accel. mainly in 1st-3rd gear from about 1000-2000 rpm then it goes away. Just while it is under more of a load. Doesn't do it at idle in gear or park, doesn't do it while reving in park or neutral, and it doesn't do it during passing situations. It is a rattling sound like a heat shield...

    5r55s .

Thoughts, anyone? I have read quite a bit about it so far. But, besides gear ratios what is the big difference. Did they make any improvements to keep them from shelling out?

    5r55s .

Does anyone know if a 5R55S trans has the same bolt pattern as the 5R5W. If so I was thinking about when the tranny goes, and I know it will eventually, of ordering up a TCI 5R55S to slide in its place.

    Tq Converter/Flexplate

I haven't found a clear answer on stock vs aftermarket converter and flexplates. My question is if I replace my tq converter and flexplate at the same time(I have the same rattle as everyone else) in my 2002 XLT V8, where is the best place to buy from and do they offer aftermarket units that...
