New guy , a little about me , and with a qestion

11 bolts actually... the bad hub will make your rotor look and seem warped too. it will most likely be bad as well, but not as bad as it looks. it will also cause extra shake when braking.

New guy , a little about me , and with a qestion

If it's a 4x4 jack it up and test your wheel hub. Both times mine went out it hum/roared at 30mph ish. Its about $100 and 4 bolts.. very easy to change.

Help, I'm seriously lost on this subject- wheels.

My last set of tires were 33x12.5x15s intercos on D holes with 4" BS (same as your soft 8s). I ran them till bald with just a 1.5" TT. I did have to cut a good bit out but they ran fine. I would not suggest any interco tires if you plan on ANY road driving.. they're crap for the road. but...

Gonna be able to tackle the trails better with my new 12k lb. winch...

I looked at those winches today, and I have to say, they look pretty nice. A lot better than anything else I've seen there.

    shackle lift and TT

I run 33 x 12.5 with no problem. TT in the front and a decent bit of trimming. I've got coilover shocks in the back that give me 1-1/2" lift.

Gonna be able to tackle the trails better with my new 12k lb. winch...

If they are that's excellent. You can't touch a used non-working namebrand 12k for that.

Gonna be able to tackle the trails better with my new 12k lb. winch...

not a fan of Harbor Freight myself. I've had way too many(nearly every) bad experiences with them. It's a very good price no doubt, but I would consider it a 6-8k not a 12k just to be safe. One thing to keep in mind, nearly everything they sell is a factory second for one reason or another, it...

    Lifted Sport Tracs Picture Thread!

The rear studs had PLENTY of room for 1/2 spacers. as a rule for lugs you need the same length of thread as the diameter of the stud, for example, 1/2x20 lug studs need 1/2" of thread. you should still have 3/4" of thread after spacers. That being said, If you have wheels that have milled out...

    My gas mileage sucks now

@ JohnnyO that's about what I do, I measured on my ranger and my st and i found 33's, depending on the brand have between 8.5% and 9.5% larger circumference than a stock 255/70/16.

    My gas mileage sucks now

I'm getting pretty terrible mileage too. before mods I could get 17 and 20. now, after correction for tire size I get 13-15 and 18 at best. and I only get 12 pulling my trailer, which unfortunately for my wallet is all the time. running at 31psi, I wanted them maxed but we went down to...

Can't decide - brush guard or bull bar?

True. I noticed a lot of that for the first time as i was trimming my fenders.... good grief it was thin. I was using some red tinsnips to cut everything, even the "heavier" gauge mounting spots for the fenders. I'd hate to see an ST in a head on.. ouch.

Can't decide - brush guard or bull bar?

Just so everyone knows, i'm not hating on Brush guards as far as off the shelf accessories their my favorite. I just wish someone sold on that had a lot more direct to frame mounting area, not these 90* 3/16" mounting plates.

Can't decide - brush guard or bull bar?

midnight, it wasn't homeade. i forget the company though. it was really heavy gauge. 8 bolts 4 to frame, 2 to frame ends (through the bumper) and 2 to the bumper itself which is all metal on the ranger. at offtrac. the damage is worse because (and lots of body shops told me it happens all the...
