Hopefully I'll be able to find a compatible socket... Thanks for all the input, and keep it coming, I can use all the help I can get!

    Solve this...

I got the procarparts.com altezza's for my '99 Sport (see my site for pictures)... I love the way they look, especially when they light up, its brighter than stock. Anyways, they only problem I have with the setup is that the lighting setup is the same as stock, and therefore there are three...

My quest for 30 MPG - Ford Explorer Gas Mileage Tips

After driving 5 tanks (it took that long for computer to adjust) like a grandpa, my friends called me that when they rode with me, I ended up gaining 2 mpg to get 17.5 mpg... I feel totally stupid when driving like that, but I guess I'm getting used to it. I'll have to see if gas prices drop...

    TT help

Okay, I've looked through the forums for everything I can get on lowering my 99 sport (RWD, SOHC)... I've already swapped the blocks in the rear and I was ready to twist the adjuster bolts in the front today... I broke two ratchets, three sockets, and a socket converter (big hole to small post)...

    Torsion ratings mean...?

I was confused to :D but that is what I meant. Here is a summary of what I tried to say: What bar rating will give me the most amount of lowering with the least amount of turns, a stiff bar or a soft bar?

    Torsion ratings mean...?

Quick question, would I get more drop from the same amount of turns of the adjuster bolt if my torsion bar were stiffer (B rating) or softer (whatever the soft ratings are) Mine is H. Personally I think that a softer bar would make it lower more and raise less because gravity affects it more...

Feedback: EE sway bar group buy

WOW! Holy cow, that was amazingly simple! Even for a newbie like me that uninstall/install was easy :D I'm pretty sure everything that was supposed to be there was, the bushings, lube (hehe, luuuube  ), split collets... did I miss anything? Oh yea, and that hugely huge bar thing! OH...

    For the experienced...

I've asked many people what the adjusters are (what they look like, their purpose, etc) and all I ever get is that they're necessary. What are they?

    For the experienced...

I've been told that it is necessary for two things to be done after lowering the front of my 1999 Sport by torsion bar adjuster twist; 1) alignment, and 2) camber adjusters... what exactly are camber adjusters, where can I get them, and what do they do? (are they absolutely necessary?) Also...

New member/owner! Probs with 99 ex sport

The problem you're having is because of the timing chain, I searched for 4 months for what was making that horrible noise (mine wasn't just during idle, it was while I was driving too :( ) and I took it in and the techs knew exactly what was wrong, couple hours in the shop and *poof* no more...

    Rear wiper fix?

My rear blade always starts out fine, then misses the entire middle of the window, then comes back in contact on the drivers side for a couple inches before it stops and does the same thing the other way. Personally I have blamed it not on the blade (since I have bent it so many different ways...

    Round headed bolt??

Almost done... This 'weekend lowering' job has taken about 10 days now  but thats okay, making progress. Finally got those round headed bolts out using a plumber's wrench (I figured out that if the bolt head keeps turning, why not use a wrench that tightens as whatever is in it turns :D )...

    Round headed bolt??

Replace with? Okay, so lets say I do cut the bolt off; I know I need a bolt whose head will fit into the space under the axle (the little hole), but what size/kind of bolt should I get?

    Round headed bolt??

I'm removing the spacers temporarily, very temporarily, so that I can put them on top of the leaf instead of underneath; that should lower me about 1"-2"... that is, if I can do it:rolleyes:

    Round headed bolt??

I'm trying to lower my 99 Sport, and I ran into a problem: I followed instructions from EE and two other sources here online... I jacked up the rear, took off the u-bolts (learned that I should put a jack under the plate where the u-bolts attach so that things don't fly away), and I'm in the...

you have to see this explorer

Okay, heres my two cents... the very first picture is before he did anything to the bumper, it IS a '99 stock bumper... the pictures posted later are after the change was made, those pictures look similar to a Ranger found here: Mid-way down the page for front end If anyone thinks I'm...

My quest for 30 MPG - Ford Explorer Gas Mileage Tips

Aldive, or whomever chooses to respond: I'm looking for ways to inprove mileage (just like everyone else here, I see) and you have many different things listed that you've done, but what do you think made the most difference? Which mod gave you the biggest jump in mileage? ...other than less...

John; I see on your EE site that the lowering kit includes front camber adjusters, what are these, are they necessary, and can I get them separate?
