    Seized Front Caliper

Thanks again for all the help guys! I replaced both calipers and both pads and bled the system. I have full pressure once again. I was going to replace the rotor on the side that seized but it started raining and I had to hurry and finish(Working outside). There doesnt seem to be shuddering when...

    Seized Front Caliper

Hey all. Thanks for the help. And Doug, last I checked, having no brakes is considered an emergency. I will probably go ahead and do it myself this weekend. Again, thanks for the help.

    Seized Front Caliper

Hey all. Quick question. Yesterday, for no apparent reason, the right front caliper decided to seize. Today, it appears unfrozen, however I have very little brake pressure and the pedal almost goes to the floor. No brake fluid leaking, though. Im going to go get the parts and was wondering how...

    Need Help!

UPDATE!! I did not remove the battery for 10 minutes, possible that could be it. I did remove for 1-2 minutes, with no help. Heres what I did: Pulled the shift motor. Wanted to make sure the transfer case was ok, so I manually turned it to 4H then drove. Worked fine however it went past the...

    Need Help!

Ok. The switch arrived(Thank you jimabena!) but no go. Same thing. No relay clicks, nothing. Looks like I am going to have to check for shorts next. I have hit the shift motor with a hammer(lightly) to see if that makes a difference(it didnt). I really have a hard time believeing that the shift...

    Need Help!

Yes. Most of the time, I do. Im sure there have been times where I let it slip my mind, but as a whole I do. Also if it is the shiff motor, I should still hear clicks coming from the computer in the back, correct?

Where do I put the subs

Bass is, indeed non directional....... but only to a point. In a nutshell, the whole reason rear facing subs sound better has to do with the wavelengths ,cancellation and just as you hinted at above, the way the waves reflect off the back of the vehicle.

    Favorite Sub? (Which is better?)

And in my opinion, I favor anything JL Audio. But then again, I perfer bass on the lower end of the scale (<60hz), which JL supplies a whole heap of. You are going to get about 3 million "opinions" from this thread, which are really not going to do much but confuse you. You have a list of...

    tuning my amp

The best and only correct way to tune or match an amplifier to a HU is to do the following. 1.) Turn the gain on you amplifiers ALL THE WAY DOWN. 2.) With the gains all the way down, turn the volume up on the headunit as far as it will allow with no distortion. Hopefully you own a decent...

How to: Speaker enclosure fabrication - WorkLog - 2 challenges 3 & 7. Just for Fun, Nothing Fancy!!

Yea, not to beat a dead horse, but unless you were in a drunken stooper and didnt really mean it, that statement was kind of uncalled for.

Where do I put the subs

Some cancellation will occur, but its hard to determine exactly how much, and how much the sound will be affected. Theres probably a good chance it will sound fine to you. In fact, there are boxes that are designed with all the subs facing each other and sound great. But the dead space in the...

Where do I put the subs

Direction does matter. It has been proven several times that subwoofers firing at the rear of the vehicle have the effect of producing lower bass as well as masking minor distortion. It all has to do with the wavelength , a topic not really within the scope of this thread. But i can assure you...

5x7/6x8, what brand would you go with???

Ive had the Pioneers and in all honesty, they sounded pretty good for the price. I now have Alpine Type S 5x7's which sound phenominal. But as stated before, go listen and find what sound good to you!

BBQ, I have followed this thread since inception, but have been quietly lurking. Until now. I must say that you are the most patient man I think I have ever heard of! And it has certainly paid off. You have one of the nicest, most tasteful installs I have seen in a long while. You have put a...

    Auto hubs

Yes, there is supposed to be a reasonable amount of grease in there, just not all caked up and spilling out. This doesnt hurt at first, but over time it can collect crap and cause the hub to prematurely evacuate. :D
