    Innova 3160 Scan Tool Readings

This is common on the '97s. There is no problem with the scanner or vehicle. Global scanners simply can't read them. My Actron displays -100% fuel trims, all O2 sensors dead, and no speed. Despite this, freeze frame will pick up the missing values while driving. Below is a reply another...

Running lean -100 on bank 1? Possible causes?

Thanks for the info. Like yours, my Actron will not display live fuel trim, O2 values, or speed data on my '97 OHV. While testing that the scanner worked on another vehicle I noticed it had captured a freeze frame from the '97 the last time I drove with it plugged in and actually recorded the...

Running lean -100 on bank 1? Possible causes?

Keep us updated on what you find out. I'm working on the same problem. All 3 O2 sensors show 0.000 volts and both short/long term fuel trims are at -100.6%. No check engine light, no stored codes. 10-12 mpg hwy.

Rough idle and running rich, have codes

Drove about 70 miles today with the "new" used PCM and all seems to be good.

Rough idle and running rich, have codes

Pcm Thanks for the order info, I hadn't thought about that. I ordered and installed a used PCM off eBay which appears to have solved the problem. Let it idle for about 20 min; I'll drive it to work tommorrow. I started thinking it was bad since it was the only KOEO code and the other codes...

    how to fix these codes?????

You can find what the codes mean here May want to double check the 537 code, I don't see it listed in the link or in my manual. It will help people to help you if you describe what kind of problems your explorer is exhibiting.

Rough idle and running rich, have codes

Did some thinking and reading on here which encouraged me to look at it as though the PCM code is also a result not cause of the problem. Picked up a fuel pressure test gauge this morning. Before I left home I checked the Fuel Pressure Regulator vacuum line which smelled mildly like gas...

Rough idle and running rich, have codes

Symptoms: very rough idle, enough to shake the explorer. Is running rich enough to leave a black spot on driveway after just a few minutes. Exhaust sounds like crap at idle, like a race cam lope. Mpg around 12-13 hwy. Runs smooth when driving, whether at 10 mph or 65 mph, only rough at...

How to: D35 C-clip Eliminator, Made Easy

No need to buy another one. McMaster shows 3 different OD's and widths from 9/16" to 3/4". Didn't want to get one too big to fit that groove, I'll order one of the narrower ones before I start tearing into it.

George Washington National Forest June 2009 Run

Nothing at the moment. Got to where I was only driving the Rubi on mountain trips. It was sitting for weeks at a time so I sold it about 6 months ago. Here I am back at square one... shopping for another 1st gen Ex... 4 door 5 speed. Don't know about wheeling this month.. no 4x4 and I'm...

George Washington National Forest June 2009 Run

Paul - Did you get the manual shift 1354 and rear locker installed? Glad to hear you're enjoying the Ex. Even after a year it feels strange seeing it someone else's avatar.

Where are all the Virginia Explorers??

John I'm lovin' the Jeep, have about 8k on it now. Have only run it through Stoney Run (the easy switchback route, the guy I was with wasn't prepared for the path straight up).. planning a Shoe Creek trip soon. It's funny, b/c I used to absolutely hate jeeps and dodge/chrysler with a passion...

Where are all the Virginia Explorers??

How many Ex's do we have going? Anybody daytripping it? I'm gonna try to get out to it. Need to get the Ex in the shop first to get an AC leak fixed.

Where are all the Virginia Explorers??

Been meaning to check in. I'm around but not as much as I used to be. Good News Bad News... I've gone to the dark side. Bought an '07 Rubicon Unlimited :smoke: about 3 weeks ago. Still have the Ex, but not sure for how long. Haven't officially put it up for sale. I'll still be up for...

    GWNF early June Run

 ugh, seems like something always comes up when we plan a meet. My attendance is questionable. May need to help family saturday. And Explorer is in the shop now getting a/c fixed, should have it back tomorrow. In case I can make it, what is the meeting place and time? I would...

    GWNF early June Run

I'm in... Before the trip I need to do a little bit of work... pull my f150 spacers from the front end. Driving (more like wondering) around with < 2 degrees of caster sucks. And space the radius arms forward so my tires clear better. I should be ready by the second weekend (June 9th).

    X Club In VA

Well.. looks like i've got a little bit of work to do before the run. Steering box developed a respectable leak in just a days time this weekend. Only 110k and I just resealed it this time last year  Barely driven it 5k in that time.

    X Club In VA

It's not looking like we're gonna make it. Snow doesn't bother me too much.. its the ice. My brother is getting a new truck this week and was planning to take it but doesn't want to chance it with either. We'll probably try again in the next couple weeks. Anyway, let me know how the...
