replaced battery terminals today, mainly because in traffic the battery would lose connection due to not being able to tighten the old ones, which would make the truck lerch forward and act like its going to die... if you look on the positive terminal There was a LOT of corrosion on the red...

*UPDATE* I have fixed both the transmissions. They had the EXACT SAME PROBLEM The reverse band was a half inch forward and wasn't hitting the reverse servo. All i had to do was drop the pan, remove the valve body and slide it back with a screw driver. All is well :D My a4ld still wont engage 2nd...

well its been a while, Got the tranny rebuilt. i used extra clutches in all gears. I test drove it, It only wants to go into 2nd if i manually put it in 2nd it wont switch on its own... and no reverse... Im going to swap governers. I just took the pan off. The reverse servo isnt hitting the...

Im taking the vb off of my truck, as for the other one i did, the reverse band slipped out of place. took 2 flat head screw drivers to get it back into place. Works great now. havnt gotten into mine yet.

when you cleaned the valve body, did that make reverse work? did reverse not engage at all before?? having the same issue,....

tomorrow im going to remove the vb clean and inspect it and re install on the transmission..

and yeah they are both 4wd
