I am sure if this is the right category for this question, if it isn't, mods please move to the correct category. Does anyone in the Edmonton, alberta area know where I can buy some Kroil. My dad was given a can and it works wonders, but we can't find any place that actually carries the...

Just wanted to post some recent pictures!

So your saying I should keep the black bumpers and the chrome grill then? The bumpers were starting to rust so I covered them with black rubberized uncoating in a can!

Mine had the black grill and trim, but I didn't like it so I got the chrome from a Ranger at my local Pick-N-Pull

    A/C black death

So I decided it was time to get the A/C going in the Explorer. The bearings were completely gone in the compressor so it was bypassed. It is a good thing I checked things out before I went all crazy. Decided to check the orifice tube to see if it was clean, but it wasn't. Basically the whole...

    Gas Mileage

I keep track of every drop of fuel I put into my explorer and on 11 tanks I have recorded since I got it, I average around 17MPG. That is mainly city/highway mixed. I have found on strictly highway running around 110-130 KM/H I can get from 19-21 MPG. The lowest I got was 14.93 MPG, but that is...

    Recharge A/C yourself?

Well I've bought a similar kit from Canadian Tire. They cost around $70 to over $100 depending on which kit you get. The nice thing about them is they come with all the instructions! You can get a kit with a gauge or without. You can also kit a leak fix and oil as well. Me and my dad have done...

Just out of curiosity, when did you last replace your o2 sensors? From reading on this site it almost sounds like your o2 sensors may be going out and it just happened to coincide with your exhaust replacement.

    Compressor Clutch?

Here is a quote from my old '03 Cavalier manual "Defrost mode; This mode removes fog or frost from the windshield more quickly..... in this mode, the system runs the air conditioning compressor." The reason it runs it is to dehumidify the air so it doesn't fog up the inside of the window.

led lights and center console finished!!!!

I'd love to put something like that centre console into my Explorer except mine is a manual so a bit more difficult to put something in. Plan on doing my dash lights soon as well, although I like blue I will probably go with red since it doesn't affect your night vision as much.
