Cleaned grounds and battery terminals, positive connection at starter was loose, cleaned/tighten that, new battery installed. Started right up!! I think the battery was bad, but when I jumped it with a known good battery it still didn't start (?).

16500 original trans (no lie!)

Picked up a new battery, pos terminal at starter was loose. Going to clean up all connections/grounds and install new battery. I will post back with the results.

Every time I get in the truck and start out,, the chime will sound for about 10 seconds every 30 second. This goes on for about 5 minutes. I've visually checked the wires/connectors under the drivers seast and everything looks good. What do I try next? Thanks! Mitch

I am replacing them thanks will keep the original spare it will only need to last a few miles if needed! LOL

My 2003 XLT has 16K miles and original tires which show no cracking etc. Time to replace? I believe the tire date code is 4302. What about the spare tire, it is on a steel rim so would not be in any tire rotation. Thanks! Mitch
