How about some Vehicle Diagnostic Software for use on a Laptop?

Hello, people. Professional vehicle mechanics use a Computer to diagnose problems,... right? But, those StandAlone systems cost a lot... Professional high-end diagnostic scan tools (like AutoBoss, x431, KESSv2) cost $3,000. Software for both reading car data PLUS tuning/reprogramming car...

    Power Window Bushing Replacement

And now, I'm working on the REAR window (with the cables). Finished the bushings replacement, just fine. Window goes down and up, without pausing... Great. However, going down, now... it Shudders / Vibrates. I don't think it did that before... (I've only owned this for a year, and the...

    Power Window Bushing Replacement

MAGNIFICENT write-up, people. Thanks. A slight problem with my 92 Explorer, Front window; Removed the motor, but I don't like the idea of "bending" that cover that's still held on by the rivet. Should that rivet be drilled out? And maybe for re-installation, replaced by a nut/bolt...

1992 Explorer - an amuzing low fuel warning

Just an interesting bit of info... '92 Explorer XLT with 263K miles, that I've owned for only 3 months... I knew it was low on fuel, but... the Dashboard started "clicking" about twice per second, and the interior dome light flashed on/off with the clicking. I've never seen this before...

Driver's outside handle & power lock won't work.

Hello, Explorer-ers, On a '92 XLT, the only way to open the driver's door is via the inside latch. The other 3 doors power locks do work. I've removed the driver's door panel... can't see any obvious problems. (Aside:... What IS that "pc board in a plastic box" at the end of the wiring...
