Help with Project or need a Shop in So CAL

Welcome to So Cal!!!! Enjoy it. I've been here 8 years and am actually leaving next week. Anyway, in San Juan Capistrano you are kind of in-between everything. I know San diego. The place I like the best is ORW (Off Road Wherehouse). The closest to you is in Escondido. Not too close...

    leaky window...

If the weatherstrip is damaged (torn/ripped) there is no repair possible. If it has just come loose you can simply put back in place with some adhesive. If you need to replace it, should not be to expensive. I'd guess $50-$75 from the dealer or next to nothing from a salvage yard (if they...

    Rear door

I imagine you are talking about the rear liftgate right? The striker (metal stud) on the rt side attached to the body on my Ex began to move several years ago . I tightened it back into place and it did make the door a little more difficult to latch properly, and I'm not sure that its...

Here you go...... These are the spacers from F150's that you hear about. F2TZ5A307A Ford Coil Spring spacer F2TZ5A307B Ford Coil Spring spacer These are the exact part numbers. Heads Up... If you have a 4x2, you will also need longer bolts that go thru the I-beam and thru the...

    new SEAT QUESTION

    SRS Airbags?

If the airbags blew and were not replaced, that could explain your srs light. If the sensors are still intact and connected, your computer is doing a self diag on the srs system. That light may be telling you there is a problem. No airbags=problem. If you dont have airbags any longer, then...

    Salvage yard shopping spree

Hey, I work in the repair business. Look in the yellow pages if you have not already. In every market there are yards that serve the public. Call ahead so you dont waste your time. Quality yards can tell you every part in their posession. So if you are looking for one part, ASK>>>>> Good...

    rocker panels

If cosmetics are not the most important (and with Herculiner, I guess its not) all you have to do is make sure you get all of the rust out. GET THAT RUST OUT!!! It is a cancer to sheetmetal. Scrape that Sh$t out. Spend a few bucks and replace those outer rockers. Then knock yourself out...

    AC refridgerant

An R134 refill kit will not work on the valves of an R-12. Same other way. That is the easiest way to tell. The valves were made different so there would be no mixing and no confusion. Find an old car with R12, look at the valves and compare it to yours. I would agree that if any retrofit...

    towing with 31's

You should have no problem. If you like the way it drives now, going a little bigger on tires will likely not even be noticable. I have the worst gearing possible (3.27 LS) and went up to 32inx11.50. Now, I would not pull the same heavy stuff I used to, But I would imagine you would be...

    Rear lift gate FIXES???

I have a 93'. The only issue I have had with my liftgate is actually were the strikers are mounted on the body. They have shifted a little. I think that if your problem was fairly common, it might end up a recall or at least talked about here. You could try reinforcing the hinge by simply...
