the wire going to the battery from the alternator is 0/1 guage lightning audio wire. it's wierd though, the volts will read about 13 and then instantly drop to 9 then really quickly fluctuate as i'm driving and then it will drop permanantly down to 9 then it might, after a while, go back up to 13.

so where about do you think the starter is?

how difficult will it be to get to the starter silenoid, what will i have to take off to get there?

i did some research and i think i found the answer, it's my positive wire coming from the battery, i didn't think about it until mbrooks mentioned it and it turns out that's a big issue for these trucks and you can't even see the corrosion b/c it's way down in the wire so i'm going to go fishin...

i had all the amps turned off and disconnected to make sure already but there was still the low volts. i also had the heater/ac turned off and headlights off. i revved up the engine but the volt meter didn't move, even with the new battery

so we just swapped out my battery with a battery from another explorer that had a decent charge on it and i still got the same problem. i even kept my headlights off and system off and i was right about 9.5 volts. any other thoughts

when i go to pep boys or autozone they always tell me that my battery is fine, they do their little tests on it, but maybe it is the battery.

no you are right, it's been a while since i've wired subs to a two channel and it's kinda comin back to me. now in theory if you bridge the wires coming from the subs will that knock it down to 1 ohm?

i think i got it. now to get the wires from both voice coils from one of the subs into one channel of the amp will in need to connect the wires somewhere before it goes into the channel or can i just run a wire from the - to + on each set of voice coils?

sorry forgot to mention that they are dual 4 ohm voice coils

i have two dvc subs and a two channel amp. can this be wired to 2 ohms or will it be at 4? i want it at 2 if possible. thanks.
