    Bye for now...

I've been on the forum since 2003, I'm not really going anywhere...I have a weird love for Explorers and will probably be back.

Levelling Kit that lowers rear end only?

you can swap springs from other models. I was thinking about putting non-sport springs in the front of my sport to raise it up, but you could find some sport springs and put them in the rear only to lower it....I did this on my TL to level it out and it works great. I have a set of 4x4 2012...

    Bye for now...

We traded in our '13 Sport this weekend for a '14 F-150 FX4 SuperCrew. It works better for our kids and activities. I'll miss my Sport. If someone in Houston ends up buying my sport and getting on here, PM me. :salute:

    Car seats question

Just traded in my beloved Sport this weekend because of this. We only have two, but my wife wanted to be able to sit between them if needed. Ironically, the F-150 is a better baby hauler for us and we can properly tow now too. We're loving our '14 FX4 Screw!

    Towing with a 2015 Explorer

I found this out...you MUST use a weight distribution hitch for anything over 2,000 per Ford. I missed the little * next to 5,000 and tried towing without it. I ended up selling my Explorer for towing because of the 17 gallon gas tank. Filling up all the time sucked.

Flasher Relay For LED Swap Exterior

Can you post a video of your rear turn signals? Do they not blink of you are holding the brake then? Doesn't seem smart...?

    275/45-R20's for a Sport - Which ones?

They were great. Sticky, great in the rain, but only lasted 30k. I might have gotten 5k more out of them, but I don't like going below 3/32nds. Great tires, but expensive in the 265/45-20 size or I would have bought them again.

    HID Beam Pattern Thread

For those that have done aftermarket HID's, post a picture of your beam up against a white surface at about 25' and what kit/setup you run.

Larger Tires on OEM & Aftermarket Wheels

I'm officially running 275/45R20's on my Sport wheels now. I decided to go with the new Nitto NT 421Q. They look great and so far have performed just as well as my super expensive Continentals that the truck came with. I hope I get more than 30,000 miles out of this set though since they have...

Sylvania zXe vs. PIAA Xtreme White vs. Phillips Diamond Vision

That's one of the best HID bulbs on the market these days, so I'd assume the halogen version is really good as well...That's the one I'd probably pick as well.

    Lowering the Explorer

Yeah, me too...I just can't knowingly modify the engine computer on my baby hauler...

Front end clunk - bushing failure?

To clarify - I re-read the thread and it sounds like there are two issues (which it seems I have both)... 1. Sway bar end link become lose or fail causing a clunk. This seems to be heard more when turning the wheels while moving and/or sitting still and just turning the wheel back and...

Front end clunk - bushing failure?

Actually, I do Randy - my street drains in front of my driveway and there is a hard lip at the transition between my drive and the city street. So I turn into it everyday. I purposely go slow and careful, but I can't say that for my wife. haha. But she also rarely drives. Mine is similar...

Front end clunk - bushing failure?

Thanks Crystal...I'm not sure escalating the issue is required yet, my local dealership is doing a great job thus far. I dropped it off again this morning and "Mike" who I think was the service manager(?) rode with me and I was able to reproduce the issue for him. He heard it as well (more...

    LED Fog Lights

TLF also has the LED fogs (with demon eyes) for $385. More expensive than the ones I originally posted at $160, but it's another option... http://www.thelightingfirm.net/product/2011-2015-ford-explorer-morimoto-led-demon-eye-rgb-color-changing-fog-lights/

    LED Fog Lights

What are TRS HIDs? Are they a H11 retrofit kit that went into the stock housings? I think the $399 HID fogs above by TLF look GREAT because they have a proper cut off.

    LED Fog Lights

Houston, Texas - non-issue for me ;) Anything else? I'm not seeing much wrong with these as long as the product itself doesn't suck.

    LED Fog Lights

I like the ones I posted because it has the proper lenses to control the light properly.

    LED Fog Lights

Is anyone running this bolt in kit? http://www.theretrofitsource.com/complete-headlight-fog-light-housings/morimoto-xb-led-fog-lights-type-s.html#.VQr8p_50zuo Looks like a great option to me...

Front end clunk - bushing failure?

Just a few hunski short of 30k.

    Swapping springs

my front lip is all bent and torn up, it doesn't clear the wheel stops and sidewalks at stores. My wife is usually the one that does it though.

Front end clunk - bushing failure?

yeah, They did a great job, got it back to me same day. Replaced both end links, nuts, and all the hardware. It did fix a lot of the clunk, but there is something still lose up there this time. It's not really noticeable until I go over a speed bump for example. I'm wondering if I have a bad...

    275/45-R20's for a Sport - Which ones?

The Yoko YK580's are Discount Tire exclusives and they did not recommend them anymore...I think that model is going out and I don't think they had it in the 275/45-R20 size. But yes, I did hear that is a pretty good tire. I actually ended up pulling the trigger and got the Nitto NT 421Q's...
