1991 Explorer Solid Axle Swap Leaf Spring

So on your first post here you said you "flipped over" your rear axle. Did you actually flip it over so the spring pertches were on top? Or did you just mean you did and SOA? I'm about to do a SAS on my 92 XLT and I was planning on buying new spring pertches and welding them on top, I hadn't...

    i need some SAS help...

    TTB or SAS?

I'm planning on lifting my 92 XLT, and I think I'm gonna end up with about 8" or so by the time I'm done. So I'm wondering if I should spend the time and money to do a SAS or if I should just stick with the TTB? I've always had old Fords with a solid front axle so this is my frist experience...

Not sure yet I'll have to mach it all up and measure. But the guy said that the springs were 3.5" lift on the bronco they came off of. And they are huge, it looke like it's gonna be like 6-8" I got the coils and radius arms and all 4 shocks for $250...not bad

New to explorers...long time ford guy

I'm getting springs and shocks from a first gen bronco for the front, and doing a SOA lift with shackles on the back. But this is the first time I've messed around with the TTB, I'm used to solid axle. So just any tips or any advice. Thanks alot
