    Engine compartment fuse box id?

Guys, I am sorry. The seller I bought this fuse box from made a mistake. The one pictured above is actually from a 2004 or later Hyundai XG350. So either he has the wrong pictures, or the wrong description. I'll find out in about 5 days when I get it. Thanks, Russ

    Engine compartment fuse box id?

Thanks for the offer. I have found the diagrams for a 2003, but since the box I am getting is different it doesn't help. Starting to wonder if either the seller posted the wrong picture, or if he is confused about what it came from. Once I have it in my hands I will see if I can find any other...

    Engine compartment fuse box id?

Thanks, but that is the problem. No pictures I have found for that part number match the picture of the part I bought. I am hoping someone can look at my picture and tell me what it is really from. Russ

    Engine compartment fuse box id?

Guys, I just bought this box and the seller listed it as for a " 02-05 Ford Explorer 4 Door 4.0L V6 Under hood Relay Fuse Box Block Panel" with a part number of 3L2T-14398-ASC. I am not (sorry) using this on an Explorer, but I am hoping I can find out for sure what this actually fits as I...

Inner Tie Rod Removal and Replacement (Pictures)

Well, I tore the passenger side apart. It had a hole in it anyway. So I will need at least one. Thanks, Russ

Inner Tie Rod Removal and Replacement (Pictures)

Thanks. I need to look and see what all came with my rods. I bought Moogs, but I haven't opened the boxes yet. If they didn't come with the boots, I will need to get some. I do have the rest of the stuff off, I am doing it all at the same time as well. So I might as well attack the sway bars...

    5r55e Trans swap PROBLEM

Couple of basic questions for you. Is this the same model trans as your original? Did you swap out the torque converter or are you using your original? If swapped, did you fill it? Did you fill the trans while I am asking? Did you get the warranty on the "new" trans?\ Hopefully someone will...

Inner Tie Rod Removal and Replacement (Pictures)

Yep, as far as it will go. It just seems like my sway bar is more in the way, which it couldn't be. I'm thinking about pulling it off since I have new bushings for it as well. Just seem to be taking more apart when I want to be putting it back together. Can't believe it has been three months...

Inner Tie Rod Removal and Replacement (Pictures)

Thanks. I must be looking at this wrong somehow. I just don't seem to have the room the pictures in this thread show. Using a pipe wrench on the inner tie rod as shown I barely have any room for movement of the wrench. I have both new inner and outer tie rods, so I am trying to get them off...

Inner Tie Rod Removal and Replacement (Pictures)

Righty tighty lefty loosey? Tried getting the passenger side off. 97 4wd. I couldn't get the inner rod to budge. Am I just not trying hard enough or am I tightening it? Was trying to go counterclockwise. This is looking in at it. Thanks, Russ

Will these Jeep rims fit my Explorer?

Wish I could say for sure. I keep seeing them on Craig's List here as well, the seller's say they fit both the Jeep and the Ex's, but I don't have the money to risk to find out. Russ

    Brake calipers?-97Ex Sport 4wd

thanks. doing ok, going kind of stir crazy though. I have so much stuff I need to do but I have very little energy. I will be glad to get back to work (never thought I would say that!) just to get back into my routine. Sitting around the house gets boring really fast for me. Worked on cleaning...

    Brake calipers?-97Ex Sport 4wd

Just to sort of follow up. I still haven't gotten the calipers, had a heart attack so this is on hold for a bit. But before that happened I took one of the front's off, and it is a dual piston, so that is what I will be getting once I get back to work on this. Thanks, Russ

Removing rear axles - How do I do it?

Thanks, all. Will have to see what is what when I can get to it. Never got the truck in the garage, and there is about 4-6 inches of snow on the driveway, so I won't be doing it right now. Russ

Removing rear axles - How do I do it?

Thanks. I am not sure my hands are steady enough any more to do the needle nose, but I may try. Depends on how patient I am feeling I guess. Russ

Removing rear axles - How do I do it?

Sorry, my Haynes has gone AWOL. I have never in my life messed with c clip stuff. I know I need to take the diff cover off, but where do I go from there? I didn't want to do this, but it seems in order to replace all the e-brake stuff that this is the best way to go. Thanks, Russ

    Battery or Alternator...Please Help!

definitely dead battery at this point. Most likely a bad alternator took it out. However, a slipping belt could also cause some of this. You did mention that the shop said that the tensioner pulley was questionable. Depending on the mileage on yours, it might be cheap insurance to do all three...

Front suspension-is this a good kit?

yep, all three of us. Me, myself, and I. I can't wait. The Ex is outside, and it is not getting any warmer. I need to move my Lemans body out of the garage to wheel the Ex in, but I don't know if I have the energy for all of that work. But I had to wait until today to have the money to...
