    Trans-go shift kit

Airpwr73, Good find! Those look like good step-by-step instructions, with pictures even. I hope the AOD install is compatable with the A4LD kit. Sorry to say, your kit (which is on it's way), does not include the instructional video or a sticker. If this does turn out to be compatible...

    Trans-go shift kit

The instructions have lots of info, but no step-by-step... When I first got the kit, I read through all the instructions and soon determined it was more than I cared to delve into. It is not a step-by-step "how to". It is a collection of notes, specs, options, diagrams, and guidelines. All...

    Trans-go shift kit

I have a TransGo A4LD shift kit for sale... The TransGo shift kit for the A4LD is a package of color coded replacement springs, check balls, and instructions for installation in the transmission valve body. This is a new kit that I bought from a person on the message board. I have decided not...

    Arizona Run March 16-17 2002

Hmm... I'd like to try and make this one... An Arizona run sounds great. Not to mention getting out of Colorado after a long winter. By March I've had more than enough of the snow and cold. I will hold off on signing up for now but will try to make arrangements to attend. MrBoyle, I see we...

    I NEED HELP FAST

better check those bearings real good... If it is to the point that they're starting to sound bad, there's a good chance you have at least one bad bearing. If you see any blueing from heat or any pits or scratches on the bearing rollers, swap in a new set.

    One Inch Body Lift

Yup, hockey pucks will work, but... Installing a body lift is a lot of work to just get 1". And more than likely, you will wish you had done a 2"for the same amount of work. Stepping from 2" to 3" is a different story. 3" will require use of bumper relocation brackets, and possible steering...

    Trans Temp Gauge

no pics at this time... I will go ahead and take a few and see about getting them posted. Another possible option with less modification would be to check into AutoMeter Gauge Pods that mount along the door/windshield frame. At the time I did my install, they were not available for 91-94...

    MODEL YEAR 91 - 94

The difference may be... 93-94's would have mounting holes for the tupperware side skirts. Other than that, I believe they are the same...

    Trans Temp Gauge

Mounting my trans temp gauge was tricky... I really had to think on how to do it. The only available place was on the dash skirt below the steering column. That would have been less than ideal because the taper of the panel is toward the floor making the gauge difficult to monitor. Here's...

    help with herculiner preparation

from what I've heard... For the most effective application of Herculiner, you should wash the hootus thoroughly to remove any excess grease and grime that may have accumulated. The average hootus can be sufficiently coated in one application. However, some hootus' will require several coats to...

All of a sudden! Blowing white smoke and sucking gallons of gas???

final update... After the costly repairs, my Explorer is running well. However, it seems the Cruise Control has also been affected as a result of the FPR failure. I had yet to try it until yesterday, and it is not working. Who knows, maybe a month from now my climate controls (also a vacuum...

Help, I broke something at CCR...

Re: Not sure of what is causing the problems... C,mon Heath, all we can do is guess. You gotta get down there,"get dirty", and see if something is loose or bent. A recurrent clunking would indicate something is loose or perhaps a very wasted balljoint. If something is loose, it should be...

Help, I broke something at CCR...

Not sure of what is causing the problems... But I would recommend getting yourself a repair manual. Either Haynes or Chiltons. I prefer Chiltons (lotsa pictures and diagrams). These books are both less than $20. Even if you don't do your own repairs, it is good to have a reference to...

Front TTB skid plate from Baja Concepts

I went to the Baja Concepts site... But I could not find any reference to the TTB Skid Plate, or any other skid plate??? Are these products not listed on the website or am I missing something?

How do I take OFF my Warrior Shackles??

let the tires rest on the ground... Kubben, Block the front tires. Jack the Explorer up by the frame, where the leafs mount in front of the rear wheels. Lift it just until the tires start to come off the ground. Hope this helps...

    Need some advice please

Econo code reader is for pre 1995 Explorers only... Code readers for 1995 and up are much more expensive. The code reader comes with complete instructions and displays codes with a series of flashing lights with long or short spaces in between. You write it down as it sends them, then refer...

    CCR2001 UPDATED!

Get a couple D-rings and you're good to go... Installing front tow hooks on a 91-94 takes some doing to get them in a usable location. If you don't have them, go to your local farm store and get a couple D-rings that will bolt through an existing hole in the frame. D-rings are like a U-shaped...

All of a sudden! Blowing white smoke and sucking gallons of gas???

lots of good stuff hooks up to the intake manifold vacuum... Fortunately, the brakes are the only thing I used during the drive home. If I would have turned on the cruise control, or even moved the AC/heater controls, those vacuum systems would have been contaminated too. The brake booster was...

All of a sudden! Blowing white smoke and sucking gallons of gas???

Good news... and bad news... Good news: The problem is the Fuel Pressure Regulator. It is repaired and running fine. No blown head gasket. Bad news: I should not have drove it home. ( slaps self upside head ) The Power Brake Booster is full of gasoline. It is shot. Also recommended...

All of a sudden! Blowing white smoke and sucking gallons of gas???

I hope to find out today... Thanks to all for help in diagnosing this problem. My rig was towed to the shop yesterday and I should find out something today. Here's hoping it is the Fuel Pressure Regulator. Not cheap, but at least it's not internal. 2T727, did yours do the same thing? Gas...

All of a sudden! Blowing white smoke and sucking gallons of gas???

more answers, more questions... Coolant level is good. No CEL, which suprised the hell out of me. Maybe it takes awhile to set a code. I haven't checked for codes. All of the 9 gallons did not go into the oil. Most was vented through the exhaust as a vapor trail. It's going into the shop...
