    How to: Lean condition procedure

Lean codes solved! I gave this a rest for a while, but since it was inspection time I wanted to get rid of the CEL. After about 3 cans of brake cleaner I finally found my vacuum leak. It was the EGR Valve. There was NO gasket! $1.99 later and I'm good to go. If you are chasing these P0171...

How to - Window Rollup Module (2nd gen)

I'm not really sure what you are asking that has not been explained above. It has been a while since I did this, and now I have a serious case of CRS...sorry I can't be much more help than this. I will say my windows started acting funny and I removed it. I don't think it was the problem though...

    How to: Lean condition procedure

You are correct about the OHV. Sorry I didn't make that more clear to start with. I will try this when I get home from work this afternoon and see what happens. I have just received my FSM volumes 1 & 2 for my 98 the other day from ebay, but that seller didn't have the wiring and vacuum book...

    How to: Lean condition procedure

Yes, it is stock except a homemade cai using the stock tube, but I'm sure thats nothing related... right? I'm reading 12.58v between the battery terminals. Here's another vid for the reference voltage test. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7AC0XYSUiw&feature=youtu.be

    How to: Lean condition procedure

It is set on DC voltage and not k ohms. 1st reading is at 200v 2nd at 20v settings, but I will go back and read through the procedure again.

    How to: Lean condition procedure

I have repeated it several times, with the same results. Is it possible that I may the meter on the wrong setting? I may try another setting on my meter and see what happens, but I think I have it on the right one. I may make a short video to show you, if you will watch it. Thanks for responding!

    How to: Lean condition procedure

With no loss of performance, I have the bank 1 and bank 2 codes only. When I do the tps test at closed throttle it reads 1.2 volts, and at WOT it reads around 5.9 and has read up to 6.0 volts with no unexpected variations while moving the throttle slowly as instructed. According to the test...

http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/w499/craftsman67/DSCF1426.jpg This is as far as I got with the heat shield...still just cardboard and duct tape toped off with a sprayer hose. It seems to be holding up nicely! I did add a ram air tube, using a floor duct and a dryer hose mounted under the...

I just pulled the #11 fuse, and the Check Gauges (low fuel) and the Door Ajar light go out also...I don't have a day/night mirror, and the dimmer on the cluster seems to work with this fuse pulled or not...dome light doesn't seem to dim...not sure if it did before or not.

Could it be a fusible link? If so how can i find it? All fuses have been checked or replaced. Here are my issues... 1- No door lock from switch to motor, but relay can be heard in the rear... aftermarket Keyless Entry still works. 2- No Check Engine Light 3- No Park Brake Light...

    Me and my Mods…

After replacing my parking brake shoes, I wanted to make sure I didn't drive off with the brake on, like I've done so many times in the past. I just don't notice the brake light on the dash until it's too late sometimes. Well, I know it's been done before, so I decided I could install a blinking...

    4.0 Exhaust Clip Thread !

Okay, Now you have me a little worried...I've only had mine for about 3 weeks, but it does sound better now, then it did when it was first installed to me. I hope it doesn't get much louder than it is now... I think it's just right.

    4.0 Exhaust Clip Thread !

Ricey? Really? It's still a V6, but mine doesn't sound that way at all with the Magnaflow and 2.5 pipe with a 3 inch tip...Both cats are still in tact though. To each his own I guess on how it sounds. I'm just glad it's not too loud inside the cab, like some systems I've had in the past.

    4.0 Exhaust Clip Thread !

I'm really liking the Magnaflow so far...it has the low grumble, without being to loud at higher rpm's I think your talking about. I've never had any experience with the Cherybombs...Good luck! I went through the same thing a few weeks back. lol.

    '99 XLT Cruise control problem

I'd try it...can't see what it could hurt. Even if everything checks out okay, I would still replace the switch. It probably won't catch fire if you clean all the gunk off it. I used throttle body cleaner on mine.
