Yeah I had a few ideas before about securing it. But this thing doesn't budge. I do a fair bit of wheeling and its never moved. The top of it is so tight that the box needs to be assembled in the truck. Then with the back seats angled and the hatch closed it is sandwiched and had no where to go.

Thanks. Yeah gravity and the fact that I made it a tad too wide so it is pressure fit in between the wheel well cut outs as well.

I used 1/2" plywood on the top. I have had the socket set, and all my hockey (goalie) gear on top of it and never worried once about it breaking. And it holds groceries fine...

Thanks. When I was planning on doing this I was searching the web for as much as I could find to help me through... but there really wasn't much out there, especially for bodywork around windshields. So I hope that this will help someone out in the future!

Yeah my roof started leaking when I washed it, and my windshield needed replacement. Plus I have two other vehicles to drive so I could do without it for a week. So it seemed like a good time to do it. I will be interested to see it come summer time to see how it's held up to the winter weather...

Yeah I have inspected each sensor already. Made sure tone wheels weren't missing teeth and everything is free of debris. Going to check powers next time I have a chance.

I have a bush guard, needs to be painted, and there is no brackets, but you could probably mount a winch to it somehow. I bought it but I want to get some bumpers made instead. Im all the way in Calgary too tho.
