I am pretty confident I can replace the thermostat, it's the heater control valve that I'm a little concerned with. I've never done one of those before. Where exactly is it located? Are there any write ups on it's replacement?

I am trying to find somewhere to buy some ball joints for my explorer. Advance Auto has them online, but not in the stores, they do carry TRW ones in the store. Have any of you guys had any experience with TRW ball joints? They're about $40 cheaper. What would you guys recommend? Thanks

I have the same exact problem! I thought it was just me. Good to see everybody else has the same problem. I was thinking it was a solinoid of something stuck. After it warms up it shifts just fine.
