Howdy everyone- I remember doing it on my 96 explorer, and I remember it being extremely easy to find and do-- But I"m having the toughest time finding how to tighten the ebrake on my sport trac. On my 96 sport, I remember there being a slot on the back of the rotor that I slid a flathead...

Did a 5 tire rotation this morning. Went out on my break at work just now and saw this That's my wheel lock key... Luckily, the dumbtards that work at the last tire shop I took my truck to used an air torque wrench on the key to take off the lock, instead of a hand wrench, and buggered up...

Howdy EF friends! While reading up on replacing the front timing chain tensioner on my 1999 Explorer Sport SOHC, I read about an Oil restrictor plug (which is supposed to look something like the size of a pencil) which goes in at the same time. Tore everything down to this point...

Got a whirring noise up front that has been bugging me. Mainly right around 27-35 mph- and seems to disappear at other speeds. Thought it was wheel bearings - but after replacing both, noise remains. I'm thinking it may be the pinion bearing after reading up across the web - but I'm not...

What Data is available through OBDII ?

In short: Is there a list anywhere of which data is available through the OBD II port of the Sport Trac? In long: I have an app and a bluetooth obd reader- but some items that the app can read, can't be read through our OBD II port. The only way to test it though, is to add a gauge, or...

    Tiregate Fab?

Well as some of you may know, I've been thinking of a good design for a self-built rear bumper/swingout carrier. At this point, I'm considering building a 'Tiregate' instead of the rear bumper for a few reasons - specifically cost, ease, and design involved. I don't know if this is a great...

    contemplating getting a camper shell

So I happened upon a camper shell for pretty cheap, and trying to decide if I want to snag it up... If I do, it is red, so it will definitely need SOME SORT of paint job. Should I go with Charcoal Beige (the same color as my truck) for (hopefully) around ~$350 to repaint- Or should I go...

Started on some Gap Guards today-

Picked up some thick rubber from Ace Hardware for $3/ft. (been looking for something to use for a couple weeks, and this seemed to work best) Basically, I eyeballed the measurement, and riveted the rubber to some existing holes... The 'before/after' aren't a true before and after, it's...
