    New Old Guy

I was around back about 12 years ago, I owned a '99 moderately modified Ex that I sold in 2004. And recently bought a new '11 Ex so I'm back. I also have a '10 Taurus SHO, that's my toy nowadays.

anyone tried Mr. Clean spot free car wash?

I use it and love it. You still have to wash, it just eliminates the drying, so it basically runs down to what is your time worth. To me it is worth it.

anyone considered a 2.3 turbo swap?

I know there was a discussion on this a few years back, I think it was a Bronco II owner that was thinking about, I don't know if he carried through or not.

i got me a new toy!

I really like the way Jefe did his when he put in his Atlas, it is to the left of the console, tucked up out of the way. I think it looks really good, then just get a 2wd, bezel that goes around the radio, so you won't have the 4wd switch anymore. An idea, maybe you could use the shifter on...

i got me a new toy!

Cool, would this mod cut down on some of the slippage inherent in the auto engage transfer case?

EE Slotted Rotor's Installed, pics & info...

I am curious, would the larger rotors fit older years? Is it as simple as just replacing the calipers to fit over the larger rotor? Would 3/4" be worth upgrading? Just wondering, not neccesarily going to do it.

    Hella 500's Installed!! (pics)

Here's a little test for you, to get an idea about wind noise. Take the front roof rack cross member and turn it around and slide it back on backwards. You will be surprised how much noise it makes at around 55. Our explorer had them on backwards when we bought it, the first trip on the...

    99-01 Front bumper light bracket

Yeah, Jefe and I mounted ours on top, I kind of copied him. But he has much better fabrication skills than I, so I ended up just mounting a bar on top of the bumper.

    99-01 Front bumper light bracket

The bumper on the 99+ is basically just a plastic cover. When you remove the bumper from those 4 bolts you are talking about you will find there is a metal support that is inside the bumper. I haven't taken mine off in about a year and a half so I can't remember it exactly but I am confident...

    installing new shocks

That is way too much even for Hawaii, you guys have a Maui Off Road on Kauai, right? Go buy yourself some nice shocks, I love my Rancho RSX's, and put them on yourself. Kevin

    Installed Rancho RSX's

I got the RSX's because I didn't want to have to adjust them like the 9000's, there are alot of guys that swear by the 9000's, I just didn't want to have to mess with them. However, with the 9000's you can get the in-cab control box and adjust them as you drive, but I believe that is another...

    Installed Rancho RSX's

I got them over at 4WP, it took about a month to get, but I am very happy with them. They firmed up the ride of the truck, and it doesn't hurt to hit bumps anymore. I have read in several places that stock shock absorbers only last around 30k miles but you can always rock your vehicle and see...

    Cheap Innovative Fender Flare

I used wall molding from Home Depot, $10. It still has to look decent for me.

    Got 49s????

A chip is definetly cheaper, but you can do anything with gears. I would save up for gears before buying a chip, especially with gas prices the way they are.

    Got 49s????

I take the "fingers" are to all the folks that doubted he could do it. That's awesome, and here I am trying to fit 33's.

2000 sport 4.0 SOHC High Rev's at Start up

Mine definately revs high at start up (1800-2000) and it almost sounds like it has a loose belt because it will let out a loud squeak for just a split second. But after that it settles down real low like 600-700 rpms. In fact, I think it is too low, because the air compressor will start making...

    Installed Rancho RSX's

I ordered my Rancho RSX's back at the beginning of September and they finally came in on Friday 10/10 (gotta love being in Hawaii). I put them on last night and I really like them. I almost bought the 9000's, but then decided against it, because I would just rather not have to worry about...

    4x4 lights are flashing

I disagree with you the only way you will clear the fault code is by disconnecting the battery.
