Well it appears he is from Saskatchewan. Google Saskatchewan road potholes and look in images tab and you'll see why there are failures. You need to make a concentrated effort to avoid all the holes in the road.

For the headlights just make sure you have quite a few larger clamps. I think I had 4 or 5 clamps per headlight so I only did 1 at a time. Housings wouldn't fit in the oven so I had to use a heat gun. Oven would have been easier I think as all the sealant would have all been soft from the get...
