More info....exhaust smell?... etc... could be major problem( head gasket) or something min. Like a stuck tstat...

Heat shields are there to deflect &eat away from the floors(in a nut shell)... some are metal, some are "fiberglass" there near the rear axle..

I had gotta water in mine...(from just washing off the engine bay)C.E light came on.. tried to clean it with no good outcome... wound up getting a new one... no problems since... but I stay far far away from water..

Check heat shields... my cats do it now.... there goin by by this weekend.

I'd Deff wanna run the 190 thru winter tho.. heats good, but could be better..

I'm with ya on that... but for my app, i was whelin alot,n towing about 6500lbs on 33's.. so for me my truck had abit of load on her.. not to mension a/c going... she got a bit hot at times.. even tho i have a 160 it doea mean its eunning at 160.. thru a laser thermometer I average 190 ish...

I never noticed a mpg diff.. iv had my 160 in for 6yrs n love it.. truck runs pretty cool on 90 deg days with the a/c blowing.. even towing my car trailer n jeep on 39's I hardly get to the r in normal..... only complaint is towing or driving long on the high way, temp only gets to the "line"...

I'm thinking pull upper ball joint,drop lower control ARM down.. friend with a garage has a wa6 to twist the torsion bar enough to take pressure off the block.. my question is. Can that block just be torched out? Since ill be replacing the block n bolt....

Looks like $60 from the dealer... gotta get it Friday.... anyone else suggest a way to gey that block out..

Full bore is about the same sound as the xl, just carrys a louder note pass 4k rpms..

Iv got the longer full thread bolts already... that was the plan.. remove the stock shorter bolts n replace them..... block is a dealer only part huh... i8 bet it is... n probly waay over priced...

Full bore is the next louder mufflers they make.. I had that xl on my 5.0 first with true duals n it was throaty but I felt around 3800/4k rpms the sound kinda stayed the same tone... just my $0.02..

Drive acouple hrs east to my exhaust shop, ill hook u up, flows will sound nice, did a few 4.0s.. Gibson seems too quite to me and a few others think it too..

Well long story short I had a babb 2yrs ago.. so i desided to lower my ex down alil... but afteri installed my suburbanite plow I noticed it was alittle to low for my liking, tried to lift her up again n the bolt snaped flush with "block".. what's the best way to remove that so I can try to work...

thanks guys.... to many choose's lol i did alil road testing today.(loaded with the trailer and with out). seems as the truck is right now, im mostly in the 2k up rpm range(5500 WOT redline).. wish there were more videos of that 303 cam in explorer.. but will be callin comp cams this...
