My displays would go out for 10 secs and come back. I noticed this happened in Nav mode when I was getting a voice command. There is a TSB that was done by my dealer (don't know the number) and it has not done it again. 2014 Limited

Yes, that is exactly what I got for my 2014 Explorer. No changes from the previous years. Took me 10 minutes to install and works great.

I tow a 3,500# Travel Trailer w/ no problem but I would highly suggest a WD hitch, especially w/front wheel drive. The purpose of the WD hitch is to shift the tongue weight back to the front wheels. And you can use a WD w/the Explorer, in fact there is a whole section on how to adjust a weight...

I am towing a Jayco Jayfeather X17Z Hybrid travel Trailer. Max weight: 3500, tow it at about 3200 pounds. Haven't taken it on a long trip yet, only towed it to the dealer for spring maintenance but the Explorer has plenty of power to tow it and had no issues on my short trip on the interstate...

FYI: the connector for the brake controller is behind the dash just above the parking brake.

Brake controller If you have a tow package, it is prewired. On my 2014 Limited, the plug is on the left side just above the parking brake. I got a Tekonsha P3 controller w/the Ford wiring adapter from etrailer.com. Took me 10 minutes to install and it works great.

The Explorer replaced my wifes 2010 Sangria Red Escape, last year I replaced my Sangria Red Focus with a new Sterling Grey Focus, and my son still drives my 98 Sangria Red Explorer. I guess we like red cars!
