blue lights and strobes for a 98

www.able2products.com SHO-ME seems to have the largest selection of LED's, which are becoming the industry standard because of the low power draw, and long life of the LED's. I'm running the SHO-ME LED slim light over the rearview mirror, an LED dash light in the lower corner of the...

    Problem with superchip

During any of your dealer service visits, have they updated your computer? I brought mine in for service one time, and they went ahead and did the FORD update on their own. Needless to say, this changed the 4-digit program code that superchips asks you for when you order..my chip no longer...

    engine whine on cold mornings

Might be a belt slipping a little. My g/f's car does the same thing. The belt material is cold, and therefore gets a little "hard", and doesn't get enough "grip" on the pullies untilit warms up.

Blown Backlight - Number Keypad On Door BehiBa4

I haven't heard of anyone trying it yet. I would think that with the window in the up position it shouldn't be in the way, but I have never been taken my door apart.

    Blinking 3rd Brake Light

Matt, I used one of the BackOff brake light flashers on my old motorcycle. They are made by Signal Dynamics http://www.signaldynamics.com . They also have a model for autos. It is similar to what you are thinking, it flashes 3 times, then stays solid for about 5 seconds. It repeats the cycle as...

    White Knight back-up lights

That's why I posted it, for those who aren't as handy as others, or may not have the time to do their own fab work.

    White Knight back-up lights

I was watching an episode of Crank and Chrome, and they promo'd a back-up light made by White Knight. They mount under the rear bumper step, and there are models that work with or without a hitch. They run around $90.00. It has a two-position switch on the back of it that, once wired up, can be...

Check the web site for Whelen and Federal Signal Corp. They are two of the big manufacturers of light bars like that.

I Hate COPS!!! This is absurd!!!!

That's the point behind it, if they can not be responsible enough at 21 years old, what makes you think they can do it at a younger age? It's at the younger ages when the girls are being taken advantage of by hormone enraged guys. Alcohol is a powerful thing, and like a drug to teens. They have...

I Hate COPS!!! This is absurd!!!!

Thanks Pete ! Hornz, the I haven't heard one on a V6, but on a V8, its a little louder than stock. At idle, its nice and mellow, and when you put your foot in it, its nice and throaty. It makes you really feel that you have a V8. What I did was called Flowmaster, talked to a rep, and told him...

I Hate COPS!!! This is absurd!!!!

Hornz, I don't hold it against you. And, I actually just got a chance to go back and read some of the other posts, which would have saved me a few breaths...LOL. I know people need to vent somehow, and thats why I didn't read all the posts first, but had to hurry up and get my 2 cents in. LOL...

I Hate COPS!!! This is absurd!!!!

Good one Rick. Gimp, I've been a little busy at work the last few months, being assigned to a drug/gang tac unit. And this past week, dealing with the loss of one of my partners in a freak car accident. Hornz, if I'm the cop you referred to, the minors should have gotten citations for drinking...

I Hate COPS!!! This is absurd!!!!

Ok, well, I guess I'm in the 20% of Mofodela's good cop classification. The thing that gets me though, is when someone takes it upon themselves to change something on their vehicle, (when the manufacturers, and govt, etc., have made that way for a reason), without checking to see if it is ok to...

Attn all v8 owners. who has flowmaster on it ?

I've got the SUV-50, and got it for about $180 last year. As far as which one to go with, depends on what sound you are looking for. I wanted it a little louder than stock, without a lot of interior resonance. The 50 was the one that a Flowmaster rep suggested, and I couldn't be happier. The 40...

    seat belt warning chime

Andrew, if they are anything like the ones in the Crown Vic's (and they probably are), here is what you have to do: you should be able to see, or feel a wire coming out of the bottom of the seat belt buckle, near where it bolts to the seat/seat frame. Then you have to trace the wire a couple of...

Portable plow for those of you in snow country.

For those of you in snow country, and are tired of shovelling your driveways, here is a plow that you can attach to the front of your Ex. It needs no hydraulics whatsoever, and looking through the site, it's not real clear on exactlly how it attaches, but there is a video of it in action. I...

    Anyone installed white face guages?

Dunno. I painted mine orange when I installed the gauges, because I thought they would be harder to see if I left them white. I think Quick left his needles white. He has some pics too, if I'm not mistaken.

    Factory Fog lights

Pat, I did that with the PIAA 1552's. While some people may not recommend it, I have not had a problem yet. Read this thread, I have some instructions and pics of where I connected the wires. If you have any questions, feel free to email me. Good luck. Dead Link Removed

    Anyone installed white face guages?

Leslie, here is a pic of the white gauge faces on my 98. These are the ones from NRAuto that Alec mentioned. http://albums.photopoint.com/j/View?u=1254494&a=9276113&p=40177518

Just installed PIAA 1500 driving lights in stock location!!!

I wish. I had the shop I bought them from contact PIAA and ask, and they told him "no". You can always try again, it's been 6-7 months since I bought them. Maybe they are getting a big demand for that combo, and changed their mind.

Just installed PIAA 1500 driving lights in stock location!!!

Chris, that's what I did with mine. They didn't come with the superwhite bulbs, so I had to buy the superwhite's seperately, and switch them myself. It was an easy swap that only took a few minutes for each light. I also had to do that with the 1450's.

Just installed PIAA 1500 driving lights in stock location!!!

I really don't know what the differences are. Mattadams is the PIAA guru, he may know. I did a little searching, and couldn't find any info about the XT's. Sorry.
