Thanks but way too much work lol. These just slip on top so it makes things 100x easier. And if you ever get tired of the look, just take em off...

Anyone here change the bulbs in the int? I wanna swap everything out to blue probably. How do I remove the dome lights? Also, what bulbs are used? Any info you can give me would be great. Thanks!

    Pioneer AVIC-D1

I wanna do that too. But I have a double din part and a single din part. (this topic is about my H2 really...) The nav is going in the double din (duh) and now I need something for the single din. First I was thinking just a tray to hold whatever, but that'd be a waste of space. So I thought...

    Pioneer AVIC-D1

I bought this yesterday, waiting for it to come in. I want it to get installed as soon as it comes in but I want them to install a DVD player too. Any DVD player should work with this system, correct? I know about having to bypass it etc... Also, what are some good indash single din dvd...

    plans for '05 limited

Can you post some pics of the set-up? Another question, are the amps in the limited editions external or are they part of the HU? And did you get to retain the steering wheel controls?

    Re-Coning subs

Where/When did you get that MTX? If it were my choice in the beginning, I wouldn't do it like this, but since the vehicle came like it, I wanna keep it like that. I'm not saying I don't like it, but if I had to do soemthing from scratch, no way I could do something like this.

    Re-Coning subs

I'm debating what to do. $75 for them to re-cone each sub isn't that bad. There are some MTX's that are factory refurb's for $62 a piece which isn't bad either, just not sure how I want to do this...

    Re-Coning subs

Yah. 2 of the 12's are up to the back door and I guess they didn't open it or something? Even if I replace 6 it'll be more then re-coning 6. 6 x 75 is 450 + whatever shipping is (probably around $60 there and $60 back) so $570. Unless I get some really cheap no name speakers. I wouldn't mind...

    Re-Coning subs

No, we just moved so I'm having a hard time finding it. They're $200-$350 each... Since I have to replace all 8 (to keep the style the same) it's way too much money for me, so re-coning the 6 that are messed up is a lot cheaper then just buying 6 new ones. One of them I saw I think might just...

    Re-Coning subs

I'm not sure. I think in the $200-$350 range though... I've never heard of Planet Audio but I've done some research and all I hear are good things about them. Do you have any idea what someone would charge me if I were to find a shop that does it here to do it for me?

    Re-Coning subs

How hard would it be to do this repair myself? This is what they said: The re-cone kit comes with the surround, cone, coil, and spider (pre-assembled). This will need to be centered on the pole piece and dropped into place, then glued in. Do you think that would be an easy fix for me to...

    Re-Coning subs

Whats that part in the middle in this pic (where the hole is, the inside, cause that is wrinkled up because it got hit right at that spot): http://www.must-have-software.net/h2/CIMG1438.JPG Planet Audio said $75 for them to re-cone them plus shipping or $40 for the re-cone kit plus...

    Re-Coning subs

I'm gonna call them about re-coning it. I emailed them about buying some new ones off them/trading but I guess they skipped all the details in my email and said to just contact a seller in my area...

    Re-Coning subs

Yah I know it sucks :( I'm not sure if the coil is messed up, it looks like just that round steel thing in the middle, but I'm guessing I still need new subs anyway...? Does anyone on here know someone with planet audio?

    Re-Coning subs

Well here are some pics of what one of the subs looks like:

    Re-Coning subs

Yah the cone part like that has the logo of the company or whatever. The rest of the sub is great, just that part needs replacing, not being glued on. The cone is broken into pieces. Do you know how much the actual cone costs (ballpark)?
  23. P

    Re-Coning subs

Hey, I have 6 planet audio subs where the cones were punched out cause they couldn't be stolen. I would buy all 8 new subs but since I have 2 goods ones and the quality of the subs look really good, I wanna try to keep them. I was wondering if anyone here knows about how much that costs...
