Electrical help -- dead truck. Problem w/ fuse box

Went to start up the Ex today, and it would crank, but not fire. Chased the issue wit what seemed to be a blown fuse in the power distribution box for the fuel pump. Replaced it, and the new fuse was loose in the socket. Upon closer inspection, the original fuse was not blown. It seems the...

    Fixing up my headliner ('96)

The headliner in my '96 XLT has seen better days, so I decided to pull it out and clean it up. Our subject, complete with coffee stain thanks to the P/O. Gosh, this interior does look naked without the headliner in! Making the headliner BLAAAAACK.

    Sean's '96 XLT

My 5L V8 XLT, the day I brought here home, right after a wash: ... Then noticed a broken taillight. /sigh It's got the funky green interior, which at first I wasn't sure about. It's grown on me, though. Other than the torn armrest, the only issues with the interior were a smoke smell, and...

    5.0 V8 hard to start

My '96 V8 frequently takes two attempts to start. On the first attempt, it just cranks. It will start on the 2nd attempt, but, sometimes hesitantly. Before I start getting my hands dirty chasing this, any thoughts on possible causes? Paying the pic tax:

    CD changer cartridge not ejecting

I can't get my CD changer module to eject (it doesn't even try (makes no noise)). When I hit the CD button on the stereo, the display says "NO DJ". I'm guessing that means it's jammed?

The Green Monster is no more

Last week, during Snowpocalypse, I encountered some black ice, and The Green Monster decided it wanted to be friends with a tree. The hood, front bumper, front fender, most of the front left suspension assembly, steering rack, radiator, and one of my shiny new LED spot lights either got crushed...

Well, That explains the KLONK noise....

... and the squdgy handling. I started noticing a "KLONK!" noise going over bumps, so, I crawled under the Green Monster this morning, and found this: Both front sway bar end links were completely shot, with one or more bushings missing entirely. ^ old v. new.

Plastidipping my grill (A quick guide to dipping)

Right, so... I am in the process of p'dipping the body-color front grill on my 2nd gen, to cover up some scratches and dings on it. I'm a bit of a fan of Plastidip... I've used it both on my ford and on my 1986 BMW, and have always gotten great results. Step 1: Have something you want to...

    New member in upstate SC

Hey all! As of a few hours ago, I am the proud owner of a not so shiny 1996 2 door Sport: 1996 Ford Explorer sport, 4.0L V6 Auto. Power windows (that don't work, yet...) and ice cold AC. I had a few "what the hell was I thinking" moments, but, overall I'm pretty pleased with myself. It...
