Agreed I agree about Cloyes reputation. I have reached out to them for Warranty. The tensioner was new with the Cloyes Kit and moves smoothly. Also my cassette guide that I pulled out showed similar wear to what you describe. Barley any compared to what happened to the new one I installed.
