    A.A. 5.0 headers

Has anyone tried these on their Explorer? They seemed kind of cheap, but for the money they might be worth trying. http://portland.craigslist.org/wsc/pts/4050331991.html

1997 exhuast manifolds cracked. Will 98-01 fit?

I want to put 98-01 manifolds on my 97 5.0 due to the loud exhaust leak, but I'm not sure, and couldn't find anything on my search that tells me if this will work. It has an EGR system, if that helps... The 98-01 manifolds look a lot more sturdy. Thanks

Just bought a 97 5.0 that has no fuel pressure...

Hey guys, been out of the Explorer game for a bit, but I'm back! Just bought a 97 XLT 5.0 with 140k and it does not start without starting fluid. It has no fuel pressure and I have not heard the pump run. There are seven wires in the harness going to the tank, and only one has power when the...

    Can't pass emissions!

So I have ran the Bronco through emissions twice in the past couple of weeks failing each time. At first I thought it was the timing (was off 4 degrees). Nope, not that. Check for codes, no codes. All the emissions equip. is there and functional. The previous owner says the Cats are not that...

    Old tires safe?

Searched and came up with nothing. So, I'll assume nobody has asked before?? I have a set of studded snow tires that my father used on hit Jeep Cherokee back in the 90's. They were bought in 92 or 93 and have about 1000 miles on them if that. They also look like they are in perfect shape (been...

Sister wants a wheelin rig. Any ideas?

She wants to spend about $4000 for something already done. It has to be an automatic and RELIABLE. Right now I'm looking at three rigs. 90 Bronco with 8" lift 30" tires (I know, it's pathetic) 50k on rebuilt 351 and AOD with push button OD. Looks kinda beat but, this will only be a toy. Paxton...

01 power windows intermediatly not working

01 power windows intermittently not working In the past few days all my windows sometimes do not work. After messing with the drivers door buttons, they start to work until I turn off the truck and leave it sitting for a few hours. When they are not working, I can still hear a relay clicking...

    For a daily driver: 91-92 vs 93-94

Lookin' to buy a work rig. I'm kinda scared of the 91-92's. Is this wrong? The 93-94's seem to be a little less problematic (sp?). But, I've seen the 91-92's with 300K plus miles on them. I want a four door five speed 4x4. Any advice?

Anyone interested in my 93's drivetrain?

4.0L- heads (new) and gaskets have 10k on them 195k on the block. RUNS STRONG! A4LD- 80k on partial re-build 195k on unit, might need front seal (it stopped leaking). BW1354-auto shift, never had a single issue with it. Wasn't even used 'til 150k miles. Just extra crap for me, send me an offer.

96 Bronco with 110k miles and oil leak?

I'm looking at buying this 96 Bronco with a 351w and 110k miles. The oil is leaking between the rear of the engine and the tranny. I think it's the rear main seal. Does anyone know what would cause this with such low miles? My 86 F-150 has a 351w with 260k miles on it and leaks everywhere but...

Cheap local rebuild for my A4LD?

Was up playing around this weekend off Hwy 2 and while doing a hill climb the front seal on my tranny burst. It went 195K miles though!! I want to just have it re-built while it's out. Does anyone know where I can get a good re-build for a lower cost? I'll put up some pics from this weekend...
