Mine was the same way when I bought it. I bought a dual USB port adapter that fits nicely into the hole from the front, plugged the old lighter socket onto it from the back, and super glued the adapter into the hole. I'll post a picture next time I take the truck out.

You are correct, I forget we are talking about a dc motor. The ones I work with at work are all 3 phase AC induction motors so they fail a little differently.

Make sure the blower motor circuit has the correct fuse in it. If someone has put an oversized fuse in it then it could have pulled down your whole system without popping the fuse. If a winding in the blower motor was going to ground it would pull about 5x your normal operating current which...

Mine would always blow when using the overdrive switch. Wire was broke in the column.

If it's no all back together yet then I'd recommend replacing your pcv valve, a clogged pcv valve will cause oil leaks all day long.

I had the a similar issue, was able to temporarily fix it by tightening my battery cables but in the end it turned out to be my alternator.

Are you not getting any lights at all on the dash or just not getting the relevant lights? Have you checked the wiring going to your gauge cluster?

Also found another vaccum leak that I hadn't noticed before on the litte rubber cap on the bottom of the upper intake.

It's a blind hole, and I am going to keep the 1" spacer and may change it out in the future but for now I'm going to use the 3/8" spacer as it will help with fitting the intake in place under all the wires on the firewall.
