1991 ex 4 door 4.0 v6 5 speed I have been fighting with this problem now for about 2 months i just can't figure it out? When the truck is warm it starts up great, but when it's cold it takes a while to start. the first thing in the morning the truck just keeps turning over intill it starts...

the tail of the tranny has the spindle with teeth (male) the transfercase sounds like it aint catching the spindle?

Remove tire remove caliper pins with screwdriver @ pins support caliper so brake line dosen't brake remove rotor note your rotors have bearings sealed in them

I got a 91 explorer 4x4 v6 4.0 The truck cranks over but takes about 10 seconds to start only when cold? I have changed the fuel pump (pressure is @ 35-40lb,) changed the fuel filter,plugs,wires oil ..etc when the truck is warm it starts ok can anyone tell me how to diagnose this...

Fixed the problem well i fixed the problem the oil that i had in the engine was too thick so i went with 5w 30 syn also changed the plugs and air filter the truck starts up great thanx

fixed well i fixed it The problem was the fuel pump. After changing the fuses and relay i dropeed the tank and changed the pump. it runs fine now thanks everyone for the info
