    Fuel Filter, Arrrggghhhh!

The problem I ran into with both metal and plastic tools is getting one of the fingers from the spring retainer in the split portion of the tool. I cut a strip of a soda can to wrap around the tool to cover that split and it worked great. If not just muscle it apart and buy the replacement...

    Really Dumb Lift Question!!

You can go higher with the suspension lift or combination of suspension and body lift. The body lift creates a noticeable gap between frame and body when veiwing the vehicle from the side. Some say to stay away from body lifts some have had no problem with them. It all depends on what you want...

    Really Dumb Lift Question!!

The lift you are doing is a suspension lift. A body lift is just bigger spacers between the body and frame. The difference is a suspension lift uses the suspension components to give you more height where as the body lift uses more space between body and frame to give you height.

    Mag-lite upgrade

I did the upgrade on the minimag and not really that impressed. I carry a stinger xthd at work and mag light could'nt come close to it. I do keep a maglite in my ex though so maybe the upgrade would be good for it.

    Uh oh...Jiffy lube !

Jiffy Lube is still in business because they only had a few stores who were caught doing things wrong. There is a local food store chain in MD called Food Lion. Some years ago they were caught dipping old discolored chicken in a bleach solution and repacking and selling it. They are still open...

    where to work

When I was in college a couple of us chipped in for a storage rental unit big enough for a vehicle. We all had crappy cars and did alot of wrenching. If you are not doing alot of work it probably is not worth the cost. We were also able to keep tools and other junk in the unit.

Can't disconnect fittings from fuel filter

The problem I've run into with both plastic and metal tools is where the split is in the tool. for some reason I always manage to get one of the spring fingers stuck in that seam. My cure for this was to wrap a small strip of a soda can around the tool to cover the seam. If that don't work just...

ignition key - whacked out lock alignment

You can probably have the new core keyed to your old key as long as they are the same blank. My stock blank is an "H" and the new one is a "W" They look very similar but the W is thicker. It was just easier to carry an extra key then have the core rekeyed.

ignition key - whacked out lock alignment
