Yes. If the sound system fails, it will default to the dash speaker. Like I said, if you put in aftermarket amps and retain the stock head unit, the amps have to send a signal to let the car know if you have speakers hooked up or not. If you don't do this it will ALWAYS come from the IPC.

You def don't need to pull the front end. You can get enough room by just undoing the top bolts and gently pulling it away from the car to get them out. That's what I did.

This is what you want to do/enable. It is the only safe, factory way, to make the car not be driveable when left on. It's very easy and gives a little peace of mind that the car won't be driven off.

Yes. I changed them out to those. Didn't have them on hand when I got the inspiration to do this. :)
