    Timberline wheels on 2020 XLT

Has anyone thought of swapping Timberline wheels onto a regular XLT? The Ford performance website didn't really seem promote much of anything for any Explorer besides foglights for the Timberline. The tire size would only change slightly from 255/65/18 to 265/65/18.

    Active grille shutter issue

While idling after my Explorer has already been warmed up I noticed a constant clicking for a 3 seconds at 20 seconds intervals. I realized it was the grille shutters constantly opening and closing. I got out and saw them do this over and over again and I thought "just pick a position...

    Audio system problems

I've had my Explorer for a little over a year now and I just started to have this exact issue 2 days ago. We had some significant snow here on Long Island a few days ago. It was over a foot deep with heavy winds for 2 days straight, so I assumed moisture had gotten in somewhere to effect the...

    XLT 200A or 202A

My Explorer XLT with the 200a package had the acoustic glass. That wouldn't be a deciding factor for me anyway. However, my 2020 Explorer did have the comfort package added to it (windshield de-icer, heated seats 1st and 2nd row and heated steering wheel). I didn't need the fog lights or the...

Anybody get the FSA 20B34 yet?

I got it on my Fordpass app. I showed him the notification on my phone and he took the info directly off of that. It wasn't a problem.

Anybody get the FSA 20B34 yet?

I went to my Ford dealer today about it. No pushback at all from them. They just said they have to order the part for me and I can bring it back in then. They said it would be a couple of days for the part to come in.

Anybody get the FSA 20B34 yet?

I do not have the tow package and I just got the "recall" on my FordPass app. I could not get any straight answers with Ford over the phone and the call to my local Ford service department could not go any further than their secretary. I'm not sure if this recall or FSA requires the transmission...

"Snow mode" and traction control for 2020 Explorer XLT

I was on a level surface. And it had the factory Hankook tires. I know these aren't the best tires for snow and ice but since the vehicle failed to move at all at first I don't think the tires were even given a chance to fail. That one wheel was probably frozen to the pavement in a clump of...

"Snow mode" and traction control for 2020 Explorer XLT

While trying to get out of my driveway after having to shovel it from heavy snow I simply wanted to drive forward a dozen feet to repark. The only wheel that was obstructed a little was the front passenger side wheel. There was maybe 3 or 4 inches of packed snow surrounding about half of this...

Strange noises inside dash/engine bay caused by wind?

    P. Falcon's solution earlier on this thread worked for me. The undercarriage under the driver's side is some of the felt covering that Ford seemed to love putting all around this vehicle. One of the bolts were loose so I tightened it. Somehow it fixed the paper rustling problem for me.

Strange noises inside dash/engine bay caused by wind?

It doesn't seem like the location of what you found would coincide with where the noise was coming from (near/behind instrument cluster) could you post a picture of where and what you did and clarify location better? Thanks.

    2020 ford explorer issues

Yes. Sometimes the transmission shifts a little rough when cold. It doesn't bother me and it just seems to be what these vehicles do. And the mileage for city driving and idling is about what I've been getting. So far, I love the beige cloth interior on mine, no issues. The age and miles...

Strange noises inside dash/engine bay caused by wind?

Any update on your dash noise problem? I was driving my XLT and noticed the noise you were talking about. It's not the noises similar to shut down after parking or a solenoid, like some people stated. It does seem to coincide with the wind at highway speeds but not all the time.

    2.3L Engine Noise

My XLT seems to drive fine but depending on certain conditions the engine makes a "clattering" sound. For example, if I'm driving up an incline with an average load of passengers/cargo, and say I'm doing about 20mph. If I suddenly want to push the vehicle to 30 or 35mph the noise from the...

    Seat issue?

I hope this doesn't become an issue all over. I have the unique fabric in sandstone and so far I have not had any creaking. But every now and then I can feel the lumbar cushion in my lower back "flex" when I accelerate sometimes when my weight is shifted rearward a little. It's not that much...

    Suspension and Drive Modes

Thanks. I've been manually upshifting with the paddle shifters anyway when the gear seems to hang on for awhile. I'm just not used to the engine racing (seemingly stuck in gear) as I level off my speed after accelerating. But if that's what's considered "normal" for the vehicle to do that...

    Suspension and Drive Modes

My tire pressure was already at around 41 to 42 psi. Reduced it to 32 to 33 psi. I think it helped just a little. I'm still getting used to the way my new Explorer drives. Thanks.

    Suspension and Drive Modes

New to the forum, I have my first question. Bought my new XLT in November and ever since then I've been testing the vehicle's drive modes. Primarily just between "normal" and "sport". Professional reviews and some advertising brags that the "sport" mode tightens the steering, quickens the...

New 2020 Explorer XLT owner, New to Forum

We are all new owners to this new generation Explorer so I don't feel like that much of a newbie I guess. Looking forward to getting to know this new vehicle and other owner's opinions.
