My phone supports usb dongles, and this one allows for charging and two USBs out. So I got a cheap usb c to USB a and hdmi out adaptor with usb power pass through.

That's Bluetooth. It passes your phone audio to the device and the device to the stereo via fm.

I think I am closer to figuring this out. I think the issue is that my seats likely came from a 11-12 model which had a different seat tensioner system. I think it will likely mean a rewiring of the harness or having to put the old seat back or make a mismatch of both seats either by...

I think my issue is that the seats I got are from a 2011-12 model which do not have the tensioner. I guess I am either to swap the leather into the piu seat or find a way to adjust the harness.

Is that something that should be done? also, how does one do that?

Here are the pics on the car, happy to say the tests and operations were nice and easy. The Bluetooth works well and for the most part it looks clean enogh. I would give it a 7/10 versus a new install.

Have you considered dipping it? Personally, its the cheapest way to fix the leaks and get a uniform paint for little to no money if you do it yourself?
