That noise your hearing would be the fan clutch it's definitely annoying id recommend replacing it with a Hayden severe duty clutch and checking your fan blades for cracks if you find cracks replace it immediately

It will gel up at the least I've seen engines killed from mixing dex cool with regular green antifreeze and once it gels up its nearly impossible to get it out

You cannot mix Dex cool with regular antifreeze You need to thoroughly flush the entire cooling system and replace it with 50/50 antifreeze not Dex cool

Only thing I would do is the valve body gaskets and solenoids and maybe a shift kit

Well my sealant of choice has arrived so I'm gonna clean the area thoroughly and use rust converter after I sand off all the rust I see and then use this sealant for the entire top of the windshield gasket and gutter to stop the leak until I can replace the windshield and get the vehicle painted

The top parts go to the upper intake manifold and the lower connects to a hose for the evap system

Honestly every ford I've driven has the flash when it's off it's a theft deterrent for criminals
