    Trouble filling gas tank

I have only had my xlt for a little over a month. I have had the problem and its really annoying. I hope its not all the time as it only happened once and I have filled up 3 or 4 more times. I have had 2 Fusions with the capless tank and never had a problem. My wifes 15 Escape has never had an...

Velossa Tech Big Mouth air intake

I believe this is the only one that will not void an existing warranty. Ford Explorer ST Performance Calibration Revealed: +30HP With Factory Warranty Retained I have seen that for the ST. Nothing for the 2.3.

Velossa Tech Big Mouth air intake

Agree, I was thinking that the Timberline may help also.

Velossa Tech Big Mouth air intake

I don't think that Ca is the problem.. I don't see anything except exhaust for the 2.3. I was on another forum and someone mentioned a tune that would bring the h.p. to 330 and I forget the tourque numbers and would not void the factory warranty, but when I researched it was for a Mustang. I...

    Lovely visit to the dealer

Wish I had a Lincoln dealer near me. I have been getting more and more frustrated with the two Ford dealerships in my area. There is a Ford Lincoln dealer about 40 minutes away, I am thinking about trying them. Also thinking about trading in the 15 Escape for a Corsair so good to get to know...

Velossa Tech Big Mouth air intake

Very llittle if any aftermarket performance parts for the 2.3 . Some have used tuners ,etc.. from the Ranger but I would not suggest that as the transmission is different. Mustang would be closest on tune but I would be leary. It does not take much to cause damage so I'd stay away from anything...

Proper operation of lift gate button when vehicle locked

Thats the one feature I wish that my XLT had. I fully intended to buy a Limited but I really liked the look of the XLT sport app. package

Proper operation of lift gate button when vehicle locked

The XLT has the same button by the license plate but not the sensor under the bumper where you slide your foot under. Like you, key in pocket and it works fine. Also works when unlocking the doors with the code panel on the drivers door.

Is there something wrong with the Timberline Explorers?

I think all of the above reasons. People bought the Timberline because it looks cool, did not realize that stiffer suspension and knobbier tires would effect the ride negatively, they go in for an oil change and the salesman puts them in a limited or whatever for the same payment. Dealers are...

Proper operation of lift gate button when vehicle locked

Just a thought: Check the voltage on your battery. If the battery is getting old and not fully charged the computer sences that and starts to eliminate certain functions in the attempt to prevent you from having a dead battery. A friend just had an issue with his 19 Edge ST. The back doors...

Transmission Cooler Failure - Next Steps?

Unfortunately no way to check the transmission fluid. If I am not correct please tell me how. I cannot find a dip stick, I asked the service manager at dealership and he advised that the system is sealed and cannot be checked. Hopefully I am wrong???

    Securicode not working/lighting up

I have the same issue as you, sometimes it does not respond at all. This sounds ridiculous but when it does not work I lick my finger and then try.. it works. Mine is a 21. Previous Fords never had an issue. Not to worried about though as usually the key is close enough

    Hey Explorers! Please help me

Maybe it is because I drove only manual transmission cars for most of my life but I don't see an issue here? The emergency brake is meant to be used in addition to park. For exmple, you park your car on an incline, after you put it into park the car rolls and then locks in place. You are...

2020 Explorer 2.3 high pressure fuel pump

interesting on the bov. I always figured the Mustang and Ranger mods would work with some slight changes. Borla makes an exhaust system also. Good luck with the fuel pump and fuel in oil situation.

2020 Explorer 2.3 high pressure fuel pump

While the smell of fuel in your oil is concerning , had you checked your oil level prior to that? I have a 2.3 also. When new the oil level was perfect. I brought the car in for the first oil change and upon checking the level, it was a quart over. Seems the Ford "tech" put 6 quarts in as that...

What oil to run in 2.3 liter Explorer

I have always used the viscocity and type of oil that was recomended for my cars . I have always used whatever oil was recomended by the manufacturer. Not necessarily the same brand but the same viscocity and type , ie: synth, or blend, or dino. I don't do my own maint. on my cars in order to...
