Electric Parking Brake automatically engages when shifted to park

I wonder if the 2025 model will auto disengage the parking brake when shifting it into drive mode? I have another car that does that automatically.

    Gasoline smell in cabin

I suggest going to the dealer and ask a service manager or technician to ride along with you to try and duplicate the issue.

2020 Explorer ST total failure, help appreciated!

What do you know about it's history? Seems odd you're experiencing all these issues on a 2020 model year.

2023 Ford Explorer XLT won't shift out of Park

Take it to the dealer since it's under warranty.

2020 Explorer xlt full to empty gas reading

Heck I would be concerned with only 380 mile DTE after filling up, let alone 280 miles. At 280, you'd be getting less than 16 MPG.

Suspensions feels like its bouncing while driving

You might have a out-of-round tire. I bought some Nokians for another vehicle from Discount Tire and noticed some bouncing on the freeway. I took it in and they found two tires that were out-of-round. They found it by accident when they were spin balancing the tire. They used a hand tool to...

    AWD & Tire Tread Concern

Unbelievable that it's from a Ford Dealer. Personally, unless they either didn't change out the tires or come down in price by $500, I would continue my search elsewhere. But also keep an eye on this one. The longer it sits on the lot, the more likely the price will come down.

    AWD & Tire Tread Concern

From the pictures above, the rears look much more worn than what they're telling you. I would go buy a tire depth gauge (they are cheap) and check it yourself. I would bet they are not 7/32". More like 4-5/32". It could be the angle of the photo but the center of the tires look worn as if they...

2020 Explorer Limited CV Axle leaking grease

Okay is just me or does that look like the grease was slathered on there? If it was dripping that much grease, it would be flinging it all over and I just don't see that. Call me skeptical.

    Long Shop Times

So you took it in to have all eleven things done at the same time? What was your expectation for having it all completed?

Suing Ford for Lemon - Lemon Law

So the facts are to this point: you bought it out of state and you have not contacted a lemon law attorney in the state you bought it in. You say it's a 2020 model. Did you buy it new? Used? Certified? Salvage title? More details will assist you in getting others to chime in about their...

2021 Explorer XLT Faint Chirping Sound

My hearing must be bad. I can't hear a chirping noise, only road noise.

Ford Ecoboost engines should get 5k-mile oil changes, c/w video

I change the oil at either 5,000 miles or when the oil life indicator shows 50%, whichever comes first.

    Tune for mpg increase?

Good MPG can be achieved. What really matters most is how and where you drive. Last Fall I drove from Portland up the coast to Olympic National Park and got 29.2 mpg on the tank. I fill my tires 3 pounds over and only use 87 gas from reliable sources (Costco, Shell, Chevron, etc). I never "warm...

Got a message on my Ford Pass app that the parts were available. Called service and they ordered the parts. Installed last week.

    Liftgate issue

Update: Dealer had it overnight to try and figure out why it wasn't working. First they tried to blame it on my dashcam install (both front and rear cameras). I explained the cameras were installed two weeks after I bought it in June 2022 and the liftgate worked fine until recently. Then they...

    Liftgate issue

Okay I tried the menu setting, switching it off and than back on. Had no effect. Not going to mess with it any further and just let the dealer take care of it.

    Liftgate issue

Thank you for the suggestion. I may try the battery terminal. I have not dived into doing Forscan yet.

    Liftgate issue

It stays opens when I manually open it. I noticed yesterday, sometimes it's a little easier to manually open than others. Or maybe I'm getting stronger from having to manually open it all the time..

    Liftgate issue

The lift gate on my 2022 XLT has decided to not open or close. It will lock and unlock but the motor will not lift or close. Each time I try, it gives a a couple waring tones but no messages. Can open and close manually. Anyone know of a way to reset it? Will have it looked at by the dealer...

My dealers price for a 2023 ST Line

The numbers shown don't make any sense. What I find odd is the bottom line difference is almost exactly the $3,500 rebate. If it were me, I would grab a calculator and have the sales person walk me thru from top to bottom. If they continue to throw out numbers that don't make any sense, I would...

Adding deleted rear hvac and heated seat controls

I didn't get an email but was notified last night thru my FordPass app. "Good news: Parts are in...." Said just need to make an appointment.

Parking brake sticking when pulling out of garage

Plenty of thread discussion on this "issue". You may want to try and disengage the parking brake prior to pulling out of your driveway and see if that helps.
