I installed a Draw-Tite 75083 on my '98 Sport with no issues. Drop the spare, place the bolts in the frame, lift the hitch, and tighten nuts, its a pretty quick process. But I guess it helps if you choose a hitch that doesn't require welding or cutting.

I realize this is probably the least of your worries, but I've found with my lift gate that if I only squeeze the handle far enough to unlatch the gate then when I shut it the handle pops right back to where its supposed to be. Good luck with the rest.

Hey Hunterdan did you notice any difference with the kkm and the exhaust? Its seems you have pretty much the same truck as me and i have been considering those mods.

My 98 Sport with the ohv and 31's gets around 18 -20 with a good mix of both highway and city driving. Have you replaced your speedo gear with the up sizing of your tires?? maybe that could be throwing something out of whack. I know my speedo and everything is a little off but not that much...

My '98 Sport did the same thing turned out to be the locking mechanism in the door needed to be replaced. You might look into it, I've heard this is a common problem from other Sport owners around here. Good Luck
