I just sold my 95 Explorer XLT 2WD with 240,000 miles on it. Although I've seen a few in here boast the big 300k. My 96 EB AWD has 160kish (can't remember off the top of my head, just got it.)

I used one of the magic erasers to clean my wheels and it removed some of the corrosion, but not all of it. They definitely look better. Can't remember who makes it, but it's available in the household cleaner isle of just about any store.

I've read through a majority of the posts in the exhaust thread, I'm still trying to decide what exhaust to get. Thinking of trying a Flowmaster 50 Dual 2.5 inlet with a single 3" outlet with a dump directly off of the muffler. I'll most likely just buy the muffler and have an exhaust shop do...

It's a 96 EB 5.0L AWD. It's Black with the tan trim. And I like black and tans so it's all good. :) I wish it would of had the gray leather interior rather than the brown, but it goes well with the vehicle. The one pictured is identical to what I got. Once I get my wheel and tire package...

Looked at 4 explorers today...people are so deceptive. Specifically asked if they where V8 4x4 with no rust and all they have when I get there is rusted out V6's.....Having no luck finding V8's in good condition.

I used an electronics component cleaning spray to clean the MAF. (The scanner values for the MAF seem within spec.) It does appear the O2 sensor itself is working, but for some reason the ECU is not registering the Bank 1 \ Sensor 1. So the A/F ratio is off for Bank 1, but not on Bank 2. Now...

There are no sensors after that cat on this model. Sorry, should have clarified that. I think I see what you are getting at though. The 0.00v could be the sensors after the CAT if it had any?

The only reason it would fog up is an introduction of moisture. I think the heater core is probably what you are looking at. Fortunately it sounds like the leak is small enough you might get away with using a simple radiator leak stop.

in my experience with the explorer, when the alternator goes it takes the starter with it. I would take the starter out and have it tested.

If it's happening even when your truck is still in park I would suspect either a problem with the gauge itself, or the speed sensor. I think I would lean more towards the speed sensor since the gauge jumps when you put the truck in gear. Off the top of my head I don't know how to test the speed...
