I agree, I replaced mu cracked fan about 3 years ago, then radiator went out a few months ago and fan was cracked like crazy again.

I have a 92 xplorer and a few months ago had an issue with it leaking, turned out to be a timing chain cover gasket, costed me 600 for them to drop engine a little, remove cover, and replace a 5.00 gasket.

thanks guys. Mine are ok, just look horrible. i am going to be replacing the valve cover gasket and figured i would just replace the covers too. I use to have an old chevy truck and i replaced those just by going to auto parts store and buying them. too bad it isnt that simple with these.

thanks for the help guys, mechanic just called and said that the back plate wasnt bent, just that the emergency brake cable was messed up and making the brakes change angle to where they couldnt get the drum back on.
