on a side note, MrAlternator didn't send me a new pulley so the output was low at idle. I got them to send me a new (smaller) pulley which fixed that problem but it chewed up about 1 belt each month. I got tired of replacing belts and put the old pulley on. Anyone else have this problem?

I had this fixed under warranty and it was a huge hassle to get them to do it. Apparently there is no bulb in there and nothing user servicable (thats why they wouldnt replace it, kept saying it was a standard wear item like a light bulb - had to get the dealer to call the warranty comapny and...

I would go in with a camcorder and record the whole thing...get them refusing to do it on tape. Let them know it is for any possible future litigation.

I am trying to put a new steering pump in my 96 V8 and have a quick question for anyone who has done this. The pressure fitting on the pump had a teflon oring that came apart when I removed the fitting. I thought the new pump (it is the motorcraft from the dealer) would come with a new oring...

Oso- No, I don't have any more pics of 33s w/ 2" BL because i took the BL off. I only have TT/Shackles. There is more then enough room (on my truck) for 33s w/ a 2"BL, TT, and shackles. -Kevin

Yomie - Cool, glad to hear it went on OK. In the pics at the top of this post, those are the 33s. They bulge a little, but I think it looks good. Only problem is rubbing on the sway bar - those big lugs that stick out of the M/Ts. A street tread might not be so bad. Monty'01-...

Well, i've got the M/Ts so they go out of balance fast anyway, but i have been in about 4 times for balancing and once for a rotation already and have only had them about 4k miles... never helps

when do you get it? I get a nasty vibration on my 96 w/ add a leaf, tt, shackle when i hit about 65 (55 indicated w/ 33s) and it begins to lessen around 70 or 72 mph. I softened up the torsion twist to see if that would help but it didnt. Actually, strangely enough... removing the front air...

I think it took me a weekend to put it on the first time due to having to hacksaw those front bolts off... I bought an impact wrench before i took the lift off and it took me maybe 4 hours to do the whole thing... and that included a run to the store to find more bolts. I highly recommend...

Well... it depends. The wiring to that fuse has to be heavy enough to support the load of the lights + whatever else is running off that wiring. I don't know what the specifics of the wiring running to the fuse box are so I can't tell you if any of them meet that requirement. That is the wire...
